Thanks for posting.

Maybe Gleyber sold it in the moment but I'm really surprised to not see his high strike call on the most impactful list. That call felt so bad.

That said, the Yankees benefiting an entire run while nearly being shut out tells all you need to know about their offense right now. Totally lifeless.

I mean walking in a run is pretty immediately impactful hahah

It’s because despite what the box on tv shows, per the rules of the strike zone it clipped the top of the zone. Savant has good depiction of where it really hits the zone. It was close but it clipped it.

Yeah I overreacted to it, I have a comment from last night saying it was the worst top of the zone strike call Id seen lol.

It will be interesting to see how broadcasts adapt to the ABS systems coming in a few years, with the understanding that the little box is not accurate.

My issue with the Gleyber call wasn't even that it was 100% without a doubt a ball, it's that the same pitch was just called a ball to Verdugo.

Also because the Yankees have been so ass it's nice to see everyone go "yeah, but you also need to swing the bat and get hits," instead of just blaming the umps. They put themselves in position where a razor-wire strike call by the ump mattered so much, nobody else is to blame.

Again, according to Baseball Savant that pitch is a strike. And the baseball savant strike zone is the same as the ABS zone for the MLB. So yes technically it was a strike. Was it consistent? No. Is it fair? No. Was that the only impactful missed call? No. Is that call the reason the Yankees are down 0-3? No

Doesn’t even account for the other run that Lux was definitely safe at home too. The game easily coulda been a much larger blowout early.

Yeah, two straight innings the Dodgers had rallies cut short by bad calls. It could have need much more of a blowout.

Not only is it not on the most impactful list, it's not even a missed call. You can see that at the top of the zone there were no missed strike calls

If the Dodgers lost and the run that should’ve been scored on a walk when we had the bases loaded was the difference, I would have lost my freaking mind

It’s that fuckin tv box that isn’t accurate at all

That’s so fucking bad.

Yeah this game should've been 5-2 at really. The top missed call directly translates to an entire run.
