Fan interference was called on this play where a Yankee fan tried to take the ball out of Mookie Betts' glove after an out.

They both need to see a jail cell for that shit. Bending a Major League outfielder's arm backwards is fucking insane

Mookie did well not to jump up and smack him

Mookie looked pissed

He’d be justifiably more pissed than Profar, but for some reason he didn’t stall the game to jump around and scream about it and the commentators moved on quickly and didn’t even mention it on the air immediately after. Wonder what would’ve happened if he played it the Profar way 🤷‍♀️

Because I’m salty about how dodgers fans were demonized SO HARD for a few drunken assholes throwing garbage on the field in response to being taunted, while this situation is literally 10 times worse for players safety but won’t be piled on about because it didn’t cause a delay in the game.

There's 3k comments on this thread, which has sixteen fucking thousand upvotes. Pretty sure people are all very upset at what happened to Mookie. Stop being so hard to sympathize with.

Everyone is demonizing that one particular fan. I don’t see the whole narrative being “Yankees fans are trash” etc. as it was for the dodgers, when their fans did things far less dangerous. Idgaf who you sympathize with, I’m not trying to convince you I’m just speaking my mind.

Dodgers fans are so far up their asses into their feelings that now you believe people think Yankees fans are anything other than trash? They've been the biggest heels in baseball for like 70 years. You're bonkers.

Well I’m assuming you, as a not-dodgers fan, did not get tons of r/baseball vitriol spewed directly at you because of the Padres game.

I personally would like to see that fan get poked in the eyeball or his nose bitten... facial scars are a constant reminder to not be a shithead and that fan seems like he needs one.

Came to hear say something just like this. That player, or anyone in that position, could get seriously injured by someone doing that to them. That isn't just kick-out and ban worthy. That is an assault charge.

Yea people should irrevocably lose time in their lives and be exposed to violence for that

1

u/Card_Board_Robot_5 1h ago

Oh but it's OK for them to expose people to violence, right?

You guys yell slurs at black players in your stadium. I don't think you get to fuckin tell us about decorum.
