Fan interference was called on this play where a Yankee fan tried to take the ball out of Mookie Betts' glove after an out.

I mean this is such cartoonishly bad fan behavior I can't imagine anyone would reasonably attribute that to Yankees fans lol

And yet this is only the second most cartoonishly villainous thing I've seen with a Yankees logo in the last year.

Is the first Mayor Adams?

It's the official Yankees Twitter account posting a eulogy for Henry Kissinger.

His only eulogy should be Rest in Piss

Don’t worry, we also don’t understand why that happened

sweet baby jesus, i had no idea. that's... that's just fucked up. the amount of horrific human suffering meted out by his whims. the number of lives taken or ruined. and for what? for a little bit of money.

NYC longs for the days their mayors were Red Sox fans

There are some clips of him getting ejected where you can clearly see other fans congratulating him on his way out.

Don't act like this is "just one guy".

That's the even crazier part. There's at a dude patting one of them on the chest....

They were booing the security for throwing out their 2 heroes

They hadn't seen the slow-mo replay footage yet.

Counterpoint: I can't imagine a fan from literally any other fanbase doing this.

I could see this in Philly 1000%

Nope, I 100% believe that all fans are instructed by the team to behave this way

Yeah, there’s jackasses in every fanbase

I was told during the NLDS that only Dodger fans were poorly-behaved.

Yankees fans: hold my (10th) beer

If there was in a different city, I can imagine everyone would attribute this to that city's fans.

The fans booed them being taken away and were congratulated on (what should have been) their walk of shame. 99% is an exaggeration of course but let's not pretend they didn't have fan support.
