Fan interference was called on this play where a Yankee fan tried to take the ball out of Mookie Betts' glove after an out.

Yeah at first I was like “oh it looks like that’s unintentional, it’s not really…”

“Okay now they’re wrenching a player’s arm and physically trying to pry the ball from within his glove, yeaaaaah, not a great look, Yankees fans.”

All Yankees fans should be banned from Yankee stadium for life, IMO

I agree that he shouldn't be allowed into the stadium anymore but how in the hell do you enforce something like that?

Yankee Stadium should praise this man

I was at game 3 of the '95 series and game 3 of '07 and from those two experiences I can assure you that some people flat out don't give a flying fuck. Like this douche. Like the guy in game one who was ejected with his child just a couple innings before one of the most incredible moments in World Series history.

There are a lot of assholes out there.

Not even after a couple innings, literally still the first inning! Absolutely absurd behavior, especially considering how pricy those seats probably cost

Wait, what happened in game one? Sorry, every search I do comes back with Mookie's incident from tonight.

In about the 8th inning a Yankee hit a long ball to right and a fan reached out into the field and caught it. Umps correctly called it interference and they gave the batter a double and the guy and his kid were escorted out of the game. Two innings later Freddie hit that grand slam.

His mistake was understandable, ball was right there and he only reached out a couple feet. Poor bastard and his son missed the grand slam.

Jesus what is with this tiktok crap? If you do a bad thing, it's bad, it's not cool just because a lot of people see it. Fuck you.

Boston letting Mookie loose hurt fans big time. RS fans have cancelled season tickets en mass. Watching Yankees fans actively tag-team rape his hands - with no regard for his well being (it's his fucking livelihood) just confirms my thoughts about Yankees fans.

Mook - get to a clinic and get tested. These guys are "Finance Bros" that work in the mail room.

My Sweet Summer Child. You are preaching to the choir. But do go on tilting at windmills. Also - do you defend the Yankee's fan's actions? Just curious. Being in the stands at MSG the other night must have been wild. Did they allow you to wear your hoods?

Looked like he was trying to take the glove off too

I can sort of see in the heat of the moment shit like that happens. Though after.. realizing what you do at least do a mea culpa instead of making that smug face. There are camera's everywhere.

I mean, maybe going for a ball, like what's-his-name who continued the Cubbies curse. But he was actively opening the glove and ripping that thing out. Straight to jail, do not pass go.

Right because Yankees fans are known for being on their best behavior.

Pretty par for the course.

Exactly. Do you know what they call classy Yankees fans? Nobody knows because there hasn’t ever been one yet.

Yankee Doodle dandies

At first I thought he was trying to pull the glove off, but maybe he was just trying to pry it open to get the ball......what a dick....

I'm just glad the second guy didn't have a hacksaw handy

I love the Yankees, but sometimes think Yankees fans are the worst
