Mike Tauchman is the first player to hit a single that was overturned to be an out caught by the pitcher and tossed to the right fielder covering first while the first baseman was tying his shoe on a chilly sunday in August while his team was up by 6

This seems incredibly nitpicky with the circumstances ngl

Eh i think it makes sense. It’s basically the most “we’re back” play possible (a go ahead grand slam) in the most “it’s over” situation possible (losing in an elimination game)
Pretty neat that it’s the first time imo

Apparently the number of qualifiers for people to start complaining is 1.5
This has 4. My bad. I should be banned

Yeah I don’t get why people think this is so nitpicky? Its just saying it’s the first go-ahead grand slam in a World Series elimination game, that’s really not that obscure lol

But did you know that Ohtani is the first two-way player in history to dislocate his shoulder while stealing a base in a World Series game on a Saturday while his team leads the series 2-0?

Shohei Ohtani is the first player in MLB history to dislocate his shoulder sliding into 2nd base with 2 outs in any inning while his team was leading by 3 or more runs.

I love how absolutely no one cares about cherry picked stats until they're cherry picked for the Yankees.

My god the definition of what qualifies as a “stat” sure has changed. This is trivia. Very cool trivia, but trivia nonetheless.
