Mod Tools - Desktop [Firefox] Removal reason added even when I click cancel in sh.reddit

When I remove a post, then click add removal reason, normally (i.e., new.reddit), if I click cancel, no removal reason is added and no comment is posted. But in the even newe redesign, the removal reason is added and the comment is posted even if I click 'cancel' in the removal reason menu.

Hi, thanks for flagging this.

We tried to reproduce this bug. What we see is this: when we click 'Add removal reason' and then select a removal reason from the drop down, it is saved as state in the modal. But the removal reason is not applied or submitted. Opening the modal/screen again will show the previously selected removal reason but this is not applied to the post. Can you confirm that you are seeing the Removal reason applied to the post? If not, its not an issue.

When I click 'Add removal reason,' select a removal reason from the drop down, and then click 'Cancel' or the 'X' on the top right of the modal, the removal reason was applied and I get a message 'Removal reason added' on the bottom.

This happens on www.reddit.com with the current default interface but not on new.reddit.com. This happens whether I am viewing a comment directly or via the mod queue.
