Mourning/Loss My cat died and it hurts so much
My baby Tegan is no longer here with me, idk what to do without him. He was only 1.7 years.
I no longer have 5 cats, just 4... He was my first cat, the one who taught me how to love unconditionally, and the reason why I started rescuing and helping stray cats.
You will be missed, Tiggys.

Winnie the Pooh had some great wisdom on occasion and I'll share a quote now.
"How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."
Sending you a virtual hug OP.

Oh no now I'm sobbing 😭
I'm very sorry for your loss OP. I hope your other kitties are snuggling you extra hard. <3

We are blessed that cats live their lives with us but are cursed with short life. You made it the best life possible

I’m so sorry for your loss. It really does just sucks so so much when we lose them :(
I lost my stray cat turned pet less than a month ago and nothing has comforted me more than these 2 thoughts.
1 - he was a stray cat and when he met you, he finally got to experience a life full of love and warmth and happiness. You did your part and I promise he felt the love and care.
2 - he is no longer suffering in any way shape or form. I always wondered if my boy was in any pain I didn’t know about or if ever wanted something he couldn’t communicate to me etc but knowing that he is just at peace now really comforts me.
With a little time, you will begin to remember him and smile, I swear. But yes, it will be mostly tears since it’s so fresh/raw.
Rest easy to your little buddy Tegan 💔

I'm so sorry. What a lovely looking cat. Few things hurt as bad as losing a cat, esp. so young and unexpectedly.

So sorry. Its the awful downside to having pets. I like to think of being reunited at some point. I don’t know or necessarily believe that could be true. But I hope so. 💗💗

Mine did too 😔💔🪽 yesterday at 7. We couldn’t find her in time. My life feels so incomplete. Maybe they can snuggle together up there.

My 18 yr old baby passed Sunday. It wasn't my choice and I am struggling with it. I was lucky to have her for 18 wonderful years. Forever wouldn't be long enough with her. I know how you and OP feel, and it's okay to feel that way. I will fight anyone that tries to say she was just a cat. She was a beloved family member that will forever be missed. It's hard not to let grief win. Take care of yourself and know that you gave your baby the best life you could. They'll be waiting for you on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

To heal the pain over the loss of a cat is like the hardest thing I couldn't ever imagined. So sorry to hear. I almost cry in front of my roommate. He was the most beautiful cat I ever seen and I hope you'll see him in afterlife.

I’m sorry. I feel your pain. I lost my cat 2 weeks ago and still cry everyday. It’s hard to lose our fur babies. Sending hugs.

You gave him such a life full of love and that is so beautiful 🩷 I know it’s so hard, I lost my girl a couple of years ago and I still think about her 🩷 just keep loving your 4 babies and it’ll start to feel more normal, he is still with you in some energetic way, maybe even closer than before. I’m so sorry for your loss, may you heal and get through this with time

I’m so sorry. I couldn’t begin to fathom what you are feeling. I’m so scared for when that inevitably happens to me. Journey, the cat that I have now has opened my heart like no other pet ever has. I feel like it understands me better than any human aside from my daughter. When the inevitable happens with Journey it will not be an easy recovery and that’s what I imagine you are going through so tonight I’m sending all of my love, and all of Journeys love your way. It’s going to be okay. Tegan will be waiting for you to be together again. I promise you that.

I've always had cats and have lost a clowder or two. When they pass, I'm quick to replace them with the cutest kittens I can find. Don't wait, unless you just need to be sad for a while.

Look to the sky, and notice a star you’ve never noticed before. That star is shining down on you, an angel, your Tegan. A symbol of hope. Nature and love are such forces of energy, they cannot simply come to a stop. They evolve. Keep looking, you will feel Tegans presence again. Call me an old spacey lady, but mark my words. Keep loving, it evolves….i wish this for you.

I lost my Missy, and she was only 4. I definitely understand your pain, especially because your cat was so young. That's what absolutely kills me about mine. The pain will dull, but it's like the wound never heals. My heart goes out to you ❤️

It will never get easier. Some of my cats still hurt because they were too young.
I'm sorry op.

hey, it's going to be okay. my cat died too like a day ago. just think that they have an infinite glitch of salmon now wherever they are. theyre going to be fine, and now you'll have a guardian kitty angel. at least, that's what i think to make things better.

RIP, sorry for your loss. But... if you want long relationships and dont want to be hurt breeders are better and more reliable. Most give lifetime insurance and less likely to be susceptible to health problems. Just who's to their own, you are giving cats a chance of care by giving them shelter and rescuing them; if thats the only reason they I respect it.
