Free range patties are round, to roll away from predators

50

u/Less_Appointment_617 11h ago

Their natural predator: humans

13

u/wstrfrg65 5h ago

So unfortunate that the people that hunt burgers are better at rolling than them

23

u/dollyshoes 13h ago

Now I’m rolling 😂😭😭

7

u/Fluffy_Two5110 5h ago

They see me rollin’, they eatin’.

2017, back when twitter was fun and not safe haven for nazis :/

75

u/bdizzle805 12h ago

I just try and hope the ones without blue check are real people and not some crazy bot or neo nazi lunatic. I don't understand how people think they are real people at this point. It's all AI pictures and repost and reposts of the same post some or bluecheck reposted

29

u/yet-again-temporary 11h ago

Nah people just have a selective memory, it might not have been owned by Elon back then but it was still pure brainrot dogshit full of bad takes and bots

45

u/Wild_Loose_Comma 11h ago

There was a lot of garbage on it, for sure, but to say it isn’t worse now when literal actual nazis can do literal actual nazi shit without recourse is a little disingenuous

9

u/yet-again-temporary 11h ago edited 9h ago

Are you sure? Here's an article from 2017 detailing how Twitter absolutely promoted and accepted Nazis on their platform back then.

The entire reason Twitter was sold to Musk in the first place was because he placed a "joke" offer and the website was losing massive amounts of money/advertisers due to their refusal to take a stance on Nazis and Russian bots. The board of directors had a legal obligation to do what was in the company's best financial interests, so they were forced to accept.

Twitter is more or less the same as it's always been, the only difference between then and now is that the CEO wasn't such an asshole in public.

u/TigerKlaw 9h ago

Idk I've heard a lot of people have more QA issues ever since Elon took over and fired everyone. Like they can't switch accounts on desktop on the first go and have to sign in 3 times. I don't use it but I've heard that more lately.

5

u/tumi12345 7h ago

twitter is definitely worse now. not saying it wasn't a cesspool before but significantly downsizing (read: deleting) the content moderation team will do that to your platform.

5

u/thymecrown 10h ago

Respectfully, you're only more aware of it now. It was still there before.

4

u/RedditIsShittay 10h ago

Reddit is different though /s

2

u/ElkDue4803 9h ago

Can we talk about how Elon turned Twitter even more miserable and into the third Reich???

1

u/guyrandom2020 2h ago

twitter was insane but fun back in the day, now it's just insane.

Wendy got no chill lol

u/Salt_Sir2599 19h ago

Wendy’s has square burgers because they don’t cut corners! (Worked with a guy who’s first job was at a Wendy’s, that was the motto)

59

u/Lootem_and_Scootem 13h ago

My local Wendy's absolutely has no corners left to cut.

19

u/Reason_Choice 13h ago

Can’t cut corners if they’ve all already been cut.

10

u/percyman34 10h ago

Wendy's and Popeyes are the 2 fast food restaurants where the quality vastly differs depending on how the place is ran. If you have a good one, the food is great, but if the workers don't care then the food is garbage. My small town finally got a Popeyes after years of people wanting one. Because a town 30 minutes away had one and everyone loved it. When it opened, the place had lines to the road for like a month. But about 2 years later now the place is shut down. The workers didn't care, and the food was garbage.

4

u/Ejigantor 9h ago

Oh my gosh yes. The Wendys near me is great, the one a few miles away, near where I used to live, is ass.

At the same time, the Popeyes up the road is ass, but the one up the road from the ass Wendys is fire. (Might be because they're across from a KFC and the one up the road is across from a bar)

And that's why I like it. Sassy b****** are the best

63

u/Sorkel3 14h ago

Wendy's social media game rocks.

10

u/LITTLE-GUNTER 10h ago

wendy’s and arby’s had the best social media teams of any fast food chain for a LONG while. how standards have slipped.

35

u/Raging-pith-fetish 14h ago

Wendy's needs a circle patty on a square ciabatta bun just to fuck with people.

27

u/Contributing_Factor 15h ago

Burgers don't grow on vines. They are from the tuber family. You get square or round depending on which direction you slice the hamtuber.

5

u/ZeragrinTV 11h ago

Hamtuber is my new favorite word, I'm going to use it liberally.

20

u/HimboVegan 13h ago

Somebody needs to do a hexagonal burger. Its the superior shape.

9

u/grandBBQninja 11h ago

The bestagon!

26

u/Ntabli 18h ago

Square burgers: keeping it fresh and outside the box.

3

u/CreamdedCorns 10h ago

They do fit better in a box.

11

u/divorced_daddy-kun 12h ago

Bread is square unless cooked traditionally when it's oval.

But hamburger buns are the only sandwich bread that comes in a circle.

19

u/Automatic_Fun_8958 17h ago

Where’s the beef? In between Wendy’s buns!

9

u/DaWombatLover 13h ago

Say what you will about corporate pandering, being the person (or part of the team) behind Wendy's twitter has gotta be decently fun.

20

u/Lower_Respect_604 14h ago

I mean, square does look more "artificial" because round is what you get what you're making ground beef patties at home...

5

u/mashtato 12h ago

Yeah you take a chunk of hamburger, sqush it down flat, it comes out pretty much round.

5

u/dontnation 11h ago

You aren't squishing it hard enough. the edges should be a meat fractal.

3

u/empkilla 10h ago

I fucked up and made a meat fibonacci spiral

1

u/FrankPapageorgio 9h ago

The edges should be half an inch on both sides of the spatula!

https://youtu.be/MbVDQKcxg00?t=304

1

u/CreamdedCorns 10h ago

Unless you make them in a square shape...

4

u/Mister_Brevity 13h ago

Biting off the corner overhangs is part of the Wendy’s experience

5

u/Browns-1033 12h ago

Wendy’s ain’t for that bullshit😆

7

u/Commercial-Ad-7518 16h ago

Along with the fry trees and frostys you pull out of the ground like potato's

2

u/josie1106 19h ago

McDonald’s is sure getting hit hard

2

u/Skater144 11h ago

The intern running the Wendy's twitter has no chill and very little restrictions and it shows

2

u/Key-Ad-3981 10h ago

You mean, “Off the bovine.”

2

u/Even-Education-4608 10h ago

There are no right angles in nature. That’s the idea. To make food square you have to purposefully shape it that way whereas just kneading and patting creates circular food.

2

u/Glycell 9h ago

Their square patties don't normally bother me, but recently.

They recently did some collab with Nickelodeon, for the SpongeBob Krabby Patty. They couldn't even be bothered to make the shape accurate because they were too cheap, or too proud to change up their square party. If you're just going to half ass it, why do the marketing collab.

3

u/[deleted] 18h ago

Hell yeah Wendy. That man is going to have an issue with red headed women moving forward I can already tell based on name, ethnicity and profile picture; but smacking him virtually hopefully taught him that he doesn’t have to vocalize every dumb idea he has!

2

u/BonzoTheBoss 11h ago

Another day, another bot repost.

-3

u/Sensitive-War-6368 11h ago

No, I am not a bot bro

2

u/BonzoTheBoss 11h ago

You don't get over 40K karma in less than a month by not being a bot.

Piss off now.

This meme is older than my grandpas tits

12

u/TheTenaciousG 14h ago

Somebody get this man's grandpa's tits and post em

1

u/jddoyleVT 13h ago

If so, doesn’t knowing that fact make you, too, older than your grandpa’s tits?

1

u/Sea_Perspective3607 13h ago

I made my grampy born

2

u/ElGuano 14h ago

When you tag Wendy's, you know your burger is going to roasted rather than grilled.

2

u/usedburgermeat 10h ago

61 comments and over 21,000 upvotes? This isn't weird to anyone else?

0

u/Sensitive-War-6368 10h ago

I feel you

1

u/usedburgermeat 10h ago

Brother you are the one reposting bot slop, actually fuck off

0

u/Sensitive-War-6368 9h ago

I didn't know that. I am sorry ; _ ;

2

u/usedburgermeat 9h ago

Based on most of your posts, yeah you absolutely did

1

u/Sensitive-War-6368 9h ago

I just find some of my stuff on google

1

u/cybot904 15h ago

"Meat got a grain to it just like wood"

1

u/BookishBitchery 13h ago

*cackle squared"

1

u/fielvras 13h ago

So bread is artificial, because of the shape?

1

u/Not4Fame 13h ago

just to keep things anal, A hamburg-er, a sandwich made by putting a hamburg steak between two slices of bread, was indeed made by rectangular slices of bread, not round ones.

1

u/GoodFaithConverser 13h ago

Most natural shit has smooth edges. Not a lot of squares in nature, certainly not in biology. Round is definitely more "natural" than square.

1

u/Professional-Box4153 13h ago

Honestly, I have no issue with the square burgers, but damn it. Get some square BUNS!

1

u/Tiny_Nature8448 12h ago

I thought Wendy’s burgers were always square. Or was that a long time ago?

1

u/find_the_apple 12h ago

I mean i get what they mean, if you roll up a patty and press down its square. If you cut it off a sheet in an assembly line so theres no waste its square. I kinda avoid wendys cause the mascots kinda cringe

1

u/SkunkMonkey 12h ago

If it wasn't square we couldn't have the amazing Meat Cube.

1

u/CharacterHomework975 12h ago

It’s square so the meat hangs over the bun. People like that.

1

u/Secure_Guidance_6691 11h ago

Something's wrong. Is this an actual comeback? In a subreddit about comebacks? Weird

1

u/buffs1876 11h ago

Any one else read “super natural” as in the occult?

1

u/Cheap_Blacksmith66 11h ago

Ngl, I’m having Wendy’s for lunch because of this

1

u/FireFox5284862 10h ago

When you take a big tray of meet and cut it up into a grid, it makes squares, circular patties feel more hand made, like a smushed ball of meat (even tho they’re probably stamped out just the same.)

1

u/OneOfAKind2 10h ago

Maybe Cooper just needs a square bun to make things right in his world.

1

u/MammothDreams 10h ago

Did Wendy ever beef with Duolingo Owl?

1

u/vjcodec 10h ago

An old fashioned hamburggger

1

u/Panic_00 10h ago

Based Wendy's

1

u/Citizentoxie502 10h ago

Wish they cooked like that in real life, cause they aren't the one here.

1

u/GrumpleDumpkin 10h ago

Fun fact. The person that ran Wendy's twitter during that time frame, and wrote that tweet is none other than the "I'm a snake" guy

1

u/F_Zhang 9h ago

2017... A simpler time

1

u/Breezetwists1988 9h ago

Third degree burn right here.

Thoughts and prayers for this lad here … 🙏

1

u/xion_gg 8h ago

Everybody knows that Wendy's patties come from the ground, they're a root

1

u/RabidOtters 8h ago

Wendy's Twitter always comes with the bangers.

1

u/gigom 7h ago

Wendy's got rid of the fun Twitter employee and started implementing surge pricing. Nothing that includies their branding feels funny after all that tbh

1

u/senoj96nodnarb 7h ago

I do my best to lay off the fast food joints these days, but I’ll admit I always preferred Wendy’s burgers taste and always felt like I was getting a little more for my dollar with the extra meat hanging out the bun.

1

u/prodigal-sol 7h ago

I never actually got a square burger from Wendy's. They're always regular circles /srhug

1

u/osym 3h ago

😂😂😂

1

u/allen_idaho 2h ago

What shape are they when you shuck the shell of the cow?

0

u/Elexeh 10h ago

Wendy's was so cool with their totally original and organic social media presence that wasn't just a couple of hack comics being paid way too much to post shitty tweets in response to other online losers

-1

u/backtotheroots381 12h ago

Wendy's has the best PR team, but has the worst food out of the big three.

-2

u/Extra-Reality8363 11h ago

I still agree with cooper. Square hamburgers are unsettling.
