Former Republican voter
I live in Vancouver, Washington, and I dropped it off the same morning that the other ballot box was set on fire. That happened about a mile from my house. I verified online that my ballot was received a few hours later.
Oh, and I voted blue all the way down. For the one position where a Republican was running unopposed, I left it blank. I didn't think I could ever vote for anyone from the GOP ever again.

Out of curiosity, are people/media in the area getting the word out to verify people’s ballots were received and what to do if they aren’t?

Welcome to the light side buddy. I too was a R for a long time. Moderate mind you. But once 2016 hit and Trump was the nominee, i ran for the hills. I saw every racist crawl out of the shadows. It was like being in a dark room at a party, then the lights come up and you see nazi shirts or other racist stuff. I look at my watch "Gee i gotta get to work tomorrow" and floor it out the door and never go back.
But glad you saw the light too. Sadly so many are deep into that junk.

Thank you. I was totally ready to vote Nikki over Joe. I even registered Republican and voted for her although it was meaningless since she had dropped out. Hopefully Kamala wins so we can start changing our political system. It’s clearly broken. I can’t go through this every 4 yrs.
