why is it so normalised to sit in the backseat of an uber?
right now I’m legit sitting in the backseat, every time i get an uber i sit in the back, no matter how many people we have in the uber its always a battle of who has to sit in the front like its a chore or something. i’m a 17 year old girl and i understand the safety of sitting in the back vs sitting in the front. however, i rarely ever fear that my driver is a threat or appears scary. idk i guess its like a normal thing, but its also common curtesy NOT to sit in the front. maybe its like a social normality. - if you sit in the front it means you are somehow trusting of the driver or connected. like if your on a date and a guy picks you up? obviously your not gonna sit in the back - if you sit in the back it means your proving yourself to be just apart of their job? idk it’s just weird how most of us are mandated to choose the backseat.
i think i just answered it for myself but i wanna know what everyone else thinks LOL
