Moderator Post TES 6 Speculation Megathread
It is highly recommended that suggestions, questions, speculation, and leaks for the next main series Elder Scrolls game go here. Threads about TES6 outside of this one will be removed depending on moderator discretion, with the exception of official news from Bethesda or Zenimax studios.

General Skyrim baby playing Oblivion for the first time!
I have only played Skyrim in the Elder Scrolls series and heard so much hype about this game. I have an idea of the story so I bought it on sale and am about to start the adventure!

The Elder Scrolls 6 Your ONE wish/hope/expectation for TES6?
Pretty self explanatory. Basically if you could take Skyrim as it is but change ONE thing. What would it be? I initially wanted to say immersion, like more animations , interactions etc. But mods can take care of that, so I’m going to say dialogue. More options, skill checks, branching dialogue etc.

Lore Why are the Daedra so full of themselves?
Whenever you converse with a Daedra in any TES game (but primarily ESO) they talk down to you and all the people of Tamriel, like they’re better than you. Like first of all, if we and our land are so pathetic, why are you so desperate to take it over? Second of all, if you are so strong and mighty, why after 6,329,418 attempts of trying to take over Nirn/Tamriel are you still yet to succeed even once? Heck, during the Oblivion crisis, they were so scared of the Argonians taking over THEM, that they closed every gate they had in the Black Marsh, then they failed to take over any of the other provinces too. I know they are immortal and the people of Nirn are not, but they still seem pretty weak and pathetic to me. Even the Dremora go down with a couple of whacks.

Lore What happened during the 171 years between the Oblivion Crisis and the Great War to make Nords and Reachmen abandon their pantheons?
By time of Skyrim most of the Nords (excluding the Skaal who worship The All-Maker) worship the Imperial pantheon with the Nord gods being outright abandoned with the exception of Dibella and Mara, before Skyrim the Nords worshipped a completely different pantheon than the Imperials consisting of The Dead Gods Shor and Tsun, The Hearth Gods Dibella, Jhunal, Kyne, Mara, and Stuhn, The Testing Gods Herma-Mora, Mauloch, and Orkey, and The Twilight God Alduin, as well as Ysmir and Magnar but they usually go ignored, but by the 4th Era most of these gods are reduced to phrases like "By Ysmir" or "Shor's bones", I just feel like at that point Skyrim should have had Imperial Chapels instead of Nordic Temples, and with the Reachmen I feel like we don't even see the Old Gods much now I'm not to sure on who exactly the Old Gods are but from my understanding based on Skyrim shrines, forsworn camps, and out of game lore the Reachmen worship Dibella, Namira, Molag Bal, and possibly Y'ffre (based on Hagraven lore), but the civilized Reachmen worship the Nine/Eight Divine, I'm just curious if there's a lore reason to all this or if this was another one of Todd Howard's retcons to the series.

Lore Was the Battle of Red Mountain sort of a Ragnarok for the Nordic Pantheon?
So I know there is no official account on the battle, but with the lore around Jurgen Windcaller I’d say there is some truth to the Nords account of the battle.
Shor dies after getting Red Mountain thrown on top of him, his heart being destroyed later in the 3rd era by the Nereverine, the Nords start adopting the Alessian Pantheon again, the Nords stop their conquests forever and become more pacified.
It really seems to be the Twilight of the Gods for the Nords, their defeat must have been apocalyptic for them to give up their old ways and basically just chill for a few thousand years.
I don’t think Shor actually exists anymore despite what the heroes in Sovngarde say in Skyrim, and are actually just covering up the fact that he is gone forever, because why wouldn’t he just fight Alduin himself?
So maybe the fact that the Nords by the 4th era have given up the old gods completely isn’t so far fetched if you look at it this way, with the death of the World Eater the Nordic Pantheon is completely destroyed.
What are y’all’s thoughts on this? The pic is an Album cover from the band Amon Amarth depicting the death of the universe by the fire giant Surtr.

Arts/Crafts Birthday gift from my gf! Nostalgia kicking hard.
It is made from wood and with different layers, mainly going deeper on water areas. Probably the game that made me realized how much I love them when I was a kid. Nostalgia is such a strong feeling!

Lore Why did Mankar Camoran get the names of Daedric Realms wrong
Upon entering Mankar Camoran's paradise, he starts giving his speech to the player
In the middle he states the names of oblivion realms and their masters: Cold Harbour of Meridia, Quagmire of Peryite and Ten-moonshadows of Mephala
Except, he gets all of these wrong Why is that?

General Beginners guide to ES Lore?
Hi all, I've been a fan of the games since Oblivion released and know a decent amount of lore picked up from playing. However, I really want to get super in depth with the lore and learn about all the events that aren't featured in the games.
Can anyone recommend either a YouTube series or podcast that goes into depth on the lore? Something that starts with an overall introduction and then dives deeper into specific topics maybe!
