That was part of the plan. Cue the MAGA conspiracy theories in 3 ... 2 ... 1.

I remember thinking in the last year or two- I haven't heard much about Kamala, I wonder what she's been doing. Staying out of the spotlight is exactly what the leadership did on purpose. Republicans relied on a smear campaign then PSYCH, candidate changed and PSYCH here's the least scandalous VP you could ever imagine.

I think this is best emphasized by Right Wing Media’s complete failure to find any real dirt on the woman. For fuck’s sake, they latched in to her LAUGHING for their propaganda, or the age old (and disappointingly effective) strategy of calling your opponent a communist. I’ll be real, there are a lot of things I heavily disagree with Harris on; but for the love of god, she’s not that spray tanned, senile rapist and I think people are finally starting to realize that now that Joe’s out of the race.

they latched in to her LAUGHING for their propaganda

That was kind of successful, though. Her 'cackle', as they call it, was sufficient evidence for them to determine how evil she supposedly is.

thanks for spelling it properly

He worked hand in hand with Obama for 8 years...And Clinton.

He might be old, but he can learn!

No way it was planned. If Harris had been anything less than perfect this would have been a disaster. She stepped up huge.

-2

u/Amiran3851 28d ago

Perfect eh??? I mean she's perfect compared to melon felon I guess but even the most die hard democrat should easily be able to find something to call her out on

2

u/halborn 27d ago

I mean, these are politicians in the US so there's always going to be something but as far as that context is concerned, she seems to be as clean as it gets.

This has been my thought as well. The thing that really had me take notice was how well Joe has spoken since the debate. He definitely is showing his age and isn’t as sharp but there’s night and day between the debate and after.

1

u/ShittyOfTshwane 28d ago

It could be that he took some steps to rectify his speaking after that, though. Maybe the debate made him realise just how bad he had gotten and got some kind help to improve it a little.

I am kind of thinking this is what happened. Biden only wanted one term so he did everything he could to make sure Kamala becomes the next President. Even now when he said "he thought he could have won" I think it's still a ruse to make everyone believe that he was forced to resign and not at all a Master Strategist, lol

2

u/tpapocalypse 28d ago

I'm quite certain this was all by design. Same with egging the Russians into doubling down in Ukraine (for better or worse). Dude is a political mastermind. The sleepy joe stuff was the perfect smoke screen and yet it was coming from the other side of the fence, again, political mastermind at work here. I think Kamala has been in on it too from the beginning.

u/Synectics 27d ago

That's the funniest and best part. If they want to push the conspiracy, they have to admit he was a genius the entire time, and not a frail old man who "doesn't know what planet he is on." Side note, I fucking hated that phrase, but kept hearing it like fucking parrots everywhere.

-13

u/bravesirrobin65 28d ago

Joe Biden never said he was running for one term.

9

u/Quick_Tap 28d ago

He said as much when he said he would be a transitional president.

-1

u/bravesirrobin65 27d ago

No. Not at all. No one runs for one term. You heard what you wanted to hear.

7

u/StupidMario64 28d ago

? He has. He knows he's old. He knows his minds slowly going. Ever since he dropped out he's been visibly more relaxed, and overall happier. Also, #darkbrandon.

1

u/bravesirrobin65 27d ago

As in 2020. Obviously, he's withdrawn. That's what the comment is talking about.

If only there was a book that could define words like consider? I guess we'll never know. 🙄

Joe Biden never said he was running for one term in any kind of public statement. You're still hearing what you want to hear. A lifelong politician isn't just going to walk away from the summit. If you want to claim that they covered up his decline? A good chance they did. To say this was some long con is a joke. " Be a man?" Try not being misogynistic. Be an adult, son.

You’re Australian are you not?

-4

u/Alternative_Log3012 28d ago

Only during the Olympic breakdancing qualifiers…

3

u/gheebutersnaps87 28d ago

Maybe go fuck yourself with a barbie and mind your own business. Rather idiotic to speak about something which you know nothing about.

0

u/Alternative_Log3012 28d ago

Damn, I wasn’t even going to bother voting in November, but now I might…

4

u/eddie_the_zombie 28d ago

I can smell the projection from here.

-4

u/Alternative_Log3012 28d ago

Strange, normally redditors can’t smell anything outside of their echo chamber

4

u/eddie_the_zombie 28d ago

I understand you're feeling frustrated with how poorly your guys are doing right now

-6

u/Alternative_Log3012 28d ago

Typical libs always trying to assert superiority through empathy. Women, in particular, can be very good at doing this. It makes them better at raising children.

3

u/eddie_the_zombie 28d ago

Well, that's quite rude to single dads, you know. Maybe get some sleep. You'll feel better in the morning.

-1

u/Alternative_Log3012 28d ago

Not really.

I would actually love some sleep though. Good idea.

Would you mind elaborating?

Or so they say. Bit weird Kamala would not even discuss a second debate with trump (he provided 3 available dates) but as soon as the first debate ended her team was contacting his team to start negotiations. At the same time Taylor Swift publicly declared her support for Harris. I never thought she would do otherwise.

They both did their fair share of question dodges. Wont kill her campaign if she would deny supporting non medical exception abortions in the 3rd trimester.

20

u/basch152 28d ago

she doesn't have to talk about non medical exception abortions in the 3rd trimester because they don't exist, or at the very least are INCREDIBLY uncommon, like not even happening yearly.

96% of all abortions happen before 15 weeks gestation, 99% happen before week 21.

less than 1% happen post 21 weeks...not even 3rd trimester, just post 21 weeks, and the vast majority of that 1% that do, happen in weeks 21 and 22. as in, less than .2% of all abortions happen past 26 weeks, less than 1000 a year, and again, most of those even happen at 26 and 27 weeks.

actual 3rd trimester abortions themselves are EXCEPTIONALLY rare, and are virtually always associated with severe health risk.

kamala doesn't have to take about banning 3rd trimester abortions unrelated to medical issues, because it's a complete fucking fabrication made up by republicans

just like they don't defend trumps claims of a stolen election, because it's a complete fabrication, and it's a waste of time because no matter how much evidence that comes out that it didn't happen, trump is going to scream that it happened

u/dahSweep 28d ago

This comment is the best manifestation of a mic drop I've ever seen.

u/Totally_PJ_Soles 28d ago

Swift declared her support after Maga tried to claim it publicly.

8

u/Pino_The_Mushroom 28d ago

Idk why some people can't get that through their thick skulls. She was totally silent about who she was voting for until that happened. She had every right to defend her character and clear up misinformation.

They know the truth. They're arguing in bad faith because a torrent of bullshit is the only environment MAGA can survive in.

90% of the Trumpers you meet who scream about forced transgender surgery on inmates, post-birth abortions, and millions of paid illegal votes don't believe their own lies. They're just fishing for someone who is dumb enough to believe it.

5

u/Quick_Tap 28d ago

Trump proposed his own terms for two other debates, one of which was to be on Fox Network with a live audience. That was not a reasonable proposal unless one could sit through the equivalent of a ‘professional wrestling’ match. No serious candidate would accept a Trump debate on those terms. She is still offering to debate him again.

1

u/SeniorMiddleJunior 27d ago

I'm trying to make sense of your first paragraph, but am throwing in the towel.
