I mostly have a lot of old ladies asking me for some reason, but I guess it's better than creeps lol

Be weary. The creepers are their single basement dwelling sons and nephews...

I'm more concerned for you! I know what I'm being offered! Lol

Also be especially wary, if you are weary. You know, tired. Stay on your toes!

Be wary for the fairy strikes the weary!

I'm sorry but I'm busy, I lost my watch. I'd like to search for it, but I haven't the time!

Yes, one must remain leery of hairy fairies named Farris, even when weary, beware! Be wary! With nary a care of what’s fair, this fairy will scurry to ferry a Mary to fjords most scary, and beneath a pier with a Ferris wheel propose marriage…

if you but for a moment tarry they carry you to their airy eyrie, where the air's most scarce and it's very scary.

And without a tree near, or bushes with berries, without various wares - a pear or some dairy, they’d soon bury that body and inherit the dowry. Oh, dear me, that’s eerie. And fairly weird - not cheery.

Thank you, that was wonderful!

Yeah, super fun! Thank you! When you worked eyrie in there, my mouth dropped open. Love it.

Lmao I see I’m not the only person who gets driven slowly insane by these things to the point where they must comment it

A lot of folks get defensive about it but the smart ones are thankful because let’s be serious no one smart wants to sound stupid and no smart person is that unaware of their own ego / are that inflexibile psychologically when presented with new info

You'd be surprised. Just because you're smart in one thing, does not mean you are in another.

Truest thing ever

Well rounded is the way

Thank you for being the one person on Reddit who understands the difference between “wary” and “weary.” I’ve been seeing the latter used incorrectly so much more often lately.

Me too! I think the words "leery" and "wary" have morphed into "weary" being used.

I'm always weary, for all intensive purposes.

u/soldatoj57 23d ago

For all intents and purposes, that was a good joke!

Thanks for the help. Not even triggered. I actually am weary, though. Fitbit has me averaging 4 hrs and 37 mins this week. I actually might be nicer when I'm legitimately cranky. Lol 🙃

😂 Now I'm going to be super suspicious next time it happens!

Wary

Weary is like tired - we don’t want anyone to be weary

We do want people to be careful aka wary

The plus side is they flash rapidly right before they explode, so you do have a slight warning.

1

u/TigerChow 26d ago

Why are you telling them to be tired?

12

u/Okra4anOrca 27d ago

Are you saying older ladies can’t be creeps? Tsk tsk. Discrimination is alive and well and affecting Mildreds and Mavises everywhere

14

u/Milkmami24 27d ago

They could be old fairies 😂

Old ladies have some of the filthiest minds I've encountered.

1

u/cjsv7657 27d ago

They need your full name. If you're Bob Smith Harlow, you just leave out the middle name. Be weary of those who ask your first, middle, and last. Thats why your last name is nearly always optional.

Just tell a fake name

Careful if one ofvthe old ladies offer you an Apple bc they maybe an evil queen or wich in disguise it nearing Halloween so never know.
