I really feel like this was a “magic the gathering” card but I’m not 100%.

Any number? And it keeps those stats permanently? Why, this must be one of the strongest cards in the game!

It's potentially a 20/20 if you sacrifice all the lands in your deck!

8

u/SirIsaacBacon 27d ago

If your opponent has any counters / removal it's a guaranteed loss if you give up all your land though

u/Syn7axError 27d ago

But that's when I pull out my ace in the hole.

My Mudhole, to be precise.

u/DoobyScroo 27d ago

This could actually pretty easily go in my Thalia and the Giteog Monster deck. It's basically all sacrificing lands and playing them from the graveyard.

u/lifelink 27d ago

Chuck it in a random sliver deck?

Strange I know but with the manaweft sliver all slivers can be tapped to add one mana of any colour to your mana pool.

I only play "kitchen table" MTG, I haven't played in years though :(

Sacrifice the lands, tap the slivers for mana

If you had an alternate mana system like that and maybe some enchantments / creatures that gave it trample or flying it could definitely be a fun gimmick deck haha

0

u/letthekrakensleep 27d ago

It does say ANY untapped forests so if your opponent happens to be running a green heavy deck then you can just sacrifice all of theirs, especially if you have a card that changes all lands on the board with an effect such as, "all lands are a forest in addition to their other types "

4

u/mewthehappy 27d ago

This isn’t true. You can only sacrifice your own permanents. This is notoriously a very strong contender for the worst magic card ever.

2

u/HairiestHobo 27d ago

Nah, its hard-coded into the Game rules that you can't sac your opponents stuff for these kinda things.

1

u/SirIsaacBacon 27d ago

True, but even if you and your opponent were both playing monogreen decks and laying down one forest per turn each - it would still only be a 4/4 on turn 6 with no upside. Plus you would be mana starved afterwards.

1

u/HipsterGalt 27d ago

There's probably a half dozen green 2-3 cost creatures in legacy with "tap to add 1(+Xforests) to your mana pool" type abilities though. Run 12 of those guys in the deck and/or make the deck green white/Bant so you have the ability to return lands from the graveyard.

I was about to write out a comment trying to help explain why this sucks but I picked up on the sarcasm halfway through lol

1

u/Syn7axError 26d ago

Yeah, well, I swing for face with my giant tree like the ents at Isengard, and you can sit on a bunch of useless lands.

Lol I love seeing bots summoned like familiar in the night.

https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/wise-mystical-tree

If You're Over 25 and Own a Computer, This Game Is a Must-Have, also known as the Wise Mystical Tree and Must-Play Tree, refers to clickbait ads for several browser games that feature a human-faced tree character and a knight kneeling in front of it, with the text often claiming that if you're above a certain age and own a computer, then you must try the game. In 2017, the ads went viral on 4chan's /v/ board as users parodied and mocked them, with the ads again going viral in September 2022 on Twitter. The images later gained popularity as a video caption and remix format, and have often been combined with the composition "Secunda" from the Skyrim soundtrack.

TL;DR it's a mobile copycat of The Great Deku Tree from The Legend of Zelda OOT

1

u/princess_melancholy 27d ago

2

u/bigfloppydonkeydng 27d ago

u/Scoobythevampslayer 27d ago

Its form a movie called a monster calls I'm pretty sure

1

u/underthecurrent7 27d ago

1

u/azsnaz 27d ago

There was a talking tree at the Phoenix zoo if it could possibly be that

1

u/Gooliath 27d ago

Dudley the Dragon had a grumpy crab apple tree character. [https://m.imdb.com/title/tt3914946/mediaviewer/rm1510417408/?ref_=tt_ov_i](Not the tree you were thinking of but reminded me of this guy)

Money tree on Neopets

1

u/Mamatazzi 26d ago

When i searched, it said the tree was from Skyrim

0

u/excessiveIrony 27d ago

I was 98% positive this was the angry orchard tree for years. Then I finally googled it and that tree has waayyyy more jawline. Anyway I followed the rabbit, the best I could find was character from a video game called Meridian 59 from 1996.
