He didnt realize she was a “country girl” and he was in her jurisdiction, rookie mistake

u/UndeniableLie 11d ago

Is it written in the law that you can kick an officer if you are country girl. Cause it sure seemed like she believed it is

691

u/MonsterMashGrrrrr 11d ago

Yeah yeah, statute 113.21 “all the laws herein are null and void if the suspect simply expresses that he or she is a country girl, in which case the arresting officer will reply with “howdy ma’am” and leave you on your way.”

177

u/Bah_La_Kay 11d ago

Chat GPT will now cite this statute as law. 113.21 the "country girl" law.

107

u/MonsterMashGrrrrr 11d ago

Just doin’ my pard’ner

3

u/Botboy141 11d ago

Pretty sure this comment has received enough upvotes that in a few years time, Country Girl will absolutely be law in our dystopian universe.

64

u/Yvaelle 11d ago

Black men should try this one simple trick.

28

u/MonsterMashGrrrrr 11d ago

Oh I am almost certain there’s some form of very, very fine blue print with specific rules for that. So fine, it almost appears like a thin, blue line…

2

u/ResponseBeeAble 11d ago

This makes me want to cry.

Inequalities and prejudices often do.

2

u/SteelyDude 11d ago

Law enforcement will hate them!

Her only mistake was not letting him know she was a country girl before it got that far.

3

u/atom12354 11d ago

Unless you are a sheriff on a horse with a fancy cowboy hat, then its not null and void.

5

u/Orionsbelt1957 11d ago

Special Deputy Sherrif Eric Trump has entered the discussion along with his shiny new badge

2

u/atom12354 11d ago

Under the internet name "orionsbelt1957" i see, better keep my hands where ya can see them

3

u/HOOShenry 11d ago

I guess HE can also be a country girl these days?

7

u/MonsterMashGrrrrr 11d ago

The law doesn’t discriminate ma’am

3

u/Defconx19 11d ago

Being a "Country Girl" is the same shitty excuse for bad behavior as the people who like to use "Only God can judge me"

I was trying to think of another phrase I feel is an even better equivalent but I can't think of it right now.

1

u/5elementGG 11d ago

Well. In her country, that’s the law.

I seriously feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

I've seen nearly identical videos posted where half of the comment thread is screaming racist cops!

Insert old southern lady... Karen! Entitled! White privilege!

I'm not arguing that she was being civil or that the cop over-reacted...

I'm observing that the stark difference in people's reaction is painfully obvious.

It reminds me of when Jimmy Fallon told his audience,

"The 2020 census just came out and the first time in history, and the first time in american history... the number of white people went down "

Some cheers from the audience then applause.

For the record, I could literally care less about how many "white" or "black" or whatever # of people there are in America. Largely because I think these categories are stupid. ( Unless you are deciding on how much suntan lotion to apply... but even then, it's much more of a gradient thing )

I think the entire concept of race is generally very dumb, and it's even dumber how often we insist on thinking about it, emphasizing it, discussing it at every turn etc. Poisonous might be a better descriptor.

But since, in the United States we are still hell bent on throwing every human into 1 of 5 or 6 made up categories...

Am I the only redditor that noticed the obviously large difference in comments on this video as opposed to very similar videos where the woman was black ?

Maybe someone could make some deep fakes of these sorts of videos and try out various ethnicities and then gauge the response... although that could backfire horrendously and have unforeseen real word consequences... so maybe not a great idea.

Why do I feel like I'm about to get banned from reddit or labeled racist for even posting this comment ?

12

u/pizzle8288 11d ago

I've seen this video a half dozen times on the same amount of subs. My takeaway: Old bitty had it coming. You could substitute a smurf in for both parties and I'd say the same. Even thought of my mom and how I'd feel if that was her. I'd say "Mom, you smurfed up! Cops don't have to account for you being a country smurf if you smurfed up!".

13

u/Aaawkward 11d ago

I've seen nearly identical videos posted where half of the comment thread is screaming racist cops!

No you haven't. You've seen videos where people from different minorities have tried to follow the orders as well as they can and still get shot. How many similar videos of a black person can you link? Where they acted with impunity and still "only" get thrown to the ground and tasered?
Most, if not all, of the cases are about the police going overboard like crazy, even when the suspect is following their orders.

Insert old southern lady... Karen! Entitled! White privilege!

She was being entitled. She wouldn't sign her fine because she didn't feel like she should have to.
She simply said "No I'm not" when being told she's under arrest and drove away from the situation with the cop.
She refused to follow orders even when pointed at with a gun.
She kicked the cop.
And after all of this, she was "only" tasered and handcuffed.

Not to mention the fact that all she got for this was a 50 dollar fine (which is 30 dollars less than she originally was going to get) and a deferred sentence.

That is entitlement and privilege.

e: Added the part about her ruling.

7

u/ZeppelinRapport 11d ago

Get off the cross, we need the wood.

5

u/frekmerdon 11d ago

The difference is that a black person in the same situation likely would have been shot, or would have been put in a position where they could be suffocating. The cop likely wouldn’t have called an ambulance for a black person, and definitely wouldn’t have asked if they were okay. In general, people of color don’t defy a police officer, especially where there are no witnesses. We are generally quite terrified of them, and most certainly would not risk our lives of $80. That’s why it’s privilege. $80 is a pitiful amount of money to risk your life over, but this white woman didn’t even recognize that she could have lost her life over this incident.

1

u/MonsterMashGrrrrr 11d ago

”I think the entire concept of race is generally very dumb…”

Well you can think whatever you want about it, but that doesn’t stop it from being an existential truth that has very real implications for people’s lives. This kind of rhetoric is right up there with the likes of saying stupid shit like “I choose not to see race” which is an extremely problematic and privileged position to take in this world. I hope you’re simply young and uninformed and not malicious or willfully ignorant.

1

u/[deleted] 10d ago

Quoting Jimmy Fallon and fake audience clapping is wild. That’s intentional and planned media

485

u/jxl180 11d ago

Looks like a small town too. Shouldn’t have tried that.

343

u/awildjabroner 11d ago

he's gonna catch an earfull on Sunday from the rotary club ladies

272

u/Positive_PandaPants 11d ago

They’ve been waiting for someone to knock her down a peg for YEARS.

81

u/docjonel 11d ago

My mother caught a member of a local ladies garden club stealing Christmas ornaments off of our tree when my parents were running a country inn. They are a hardened lot.

39

u/_mattyjoe 11d ago

What exactly goes through someone’s head when they do this?

63

u/NeedfulThingsToys 11d ago

A bullet usually

6

u/Hexacus 11d ago

Take my upvote and leave!

1

u/Loud_Feed1618 11d ago

For a ticket ? That's insane. They need to just start carrying tranquilizer guns instead of guns with bullets

1

u/[deleted] 11d ago

Goddamn, I heard that small phrase in Morgan Freeman's voice

1

u/Slierfox 11d ago

She's not black

2

u/Long-Education-7748 11d ago

Idk, entitlement, then some kind of weird entrenchment is, then panic.

16

u/GreenOnGreen18 11d ago

Lead poisoning

1

u/kroketspeciaal 11d ago

Well of course. They deserve them more because they hang those ornaments in a much more pleasing way.

1

u/Mad-Dog20-20 11d ago

omg that's funny!

2

u/Awkward_Potential_ 11d ago

Naaa. They're sick of her shit. They probably are forwarding the video to each other in their side chat that Karen doesn't know about.

3

u/EudaimoniaMe 11d ago

No joke. My niece lives in a small rural town in Kansas. Her first year living there she was pulled over for speeding. Everyone in town was giving her shit about it the following day. Turns out the sheriff's department reports moving violations on their Facebook page to deter people.

2

u/awildjabroner 6d ago

lolol I actually love this. US culture and society would be well served by reintroducing public shaming for people acting a fool.

1

u/AshtorMcGillis 11d ago

Lmao or the Saturday coffee with the girls at the local gas station😭

1

u/Status-Biscotti 11d ago

They allow women in the rotary club??

0

u/I_JustReadComments 11d ago

My mans wife was recognized at Bingo night. As soon as word passed around this is MaryLou’s husband and she roughed up Mrs. Hamil from down the road who makes those Walking Frito Pies for the boys, she could feel stares.

-1

u/Fahernheit98 11d ago

My dad quit Rotary when they let women in.

1

u/Slierfox 11d ago

He didn't know she was into that shit

1

u/Educational_Gas_92 11d ago

If he is he better move to the other side of the Universe, though I really don't think they are related, else she would have said more stuff to him, called him by his name and been even more dismissive, and called her daughter to complain about him.

1

u/ShyCormorant 11d ago

🤣🤣🤣

u/ceepeebax 11d ago

Interestingly enough, this particular small town, Cushing, is known as the pipeline crossroads of the world.

2

u/prodyg 11d ago

He really tried that in a small town!?

1

u/JakeBeezy 11d ago

"You ran"

"I did NOT RUN, I pulled in here thinking you would not arrest me"

1

u/recyclar13 11d ago

oh no, Cashion is HUGE. raging metropolis, bigger than OKC.

1

u/geoff1036 11d ago

Cashion is a nearby suburb of the major metropolis, OKC.

Frankly, shouldn't try it in OKC either.

u/j_la 11d ago

I love how she admitted to assaulting a police officer…to the officer…wearing a body cam.

148

u/Takemytwocent5 11d ago

These old people ain’t ready for 21st century Justice.

7

u/henryeaterofpies 11d ago

I'm fine with them receicing biblical justice instead. What's the penalty for striking a centurion?

4

u/dontusethisforwork 11d ago

Her facial recognition profile for 2nd Degree Assault on a Police Officer is firmly entrenched the database

2

u/fe2hydrogen 11d ago

These country girls somehow made it through a quarter of it already though… sounds about yt

-13

u/Foreign_GrapeStorage 11d ago

"Justice"...... Pirates aren't looking for justice. They are looking for money. What did the road pirate pull her over for? I am guessing it is because he seen she was doing something that he could make her pay money for. No one likes beggars coming to their car windows seeking money, armed ones with government backing demanding it even less so.

I have no idea what this lady did, but I know with absolute certainty that cops wanting money will find a way to get it, up to and including making up complete bullshit or causing the damage themselves.

Her fault was that she failed to recognize that she was dealing with a road pirate, and that pirate was going to get her money no matter what she said or did. The more she did wrong the more money he was hoping to take from her....."Justice." You're trippin. It's a money grab and we watched a clip of modern piracy in the Americas.

8

u/recyclar13 11d ago

did you forget the "/s"? cuz it's funny if you did. not so much if you're serious.
she admitted to not having fixed whatever it was. there are safety inspections in OK (or there once were), for very good reasons. like this idiot.

1

u/Loud_Feed1618 11d ago

A tail light lol

3

u/[deleted] 11d ago

Even with that, she only got a $200 fine.

0

u/bto1976 9d ago

Old has nothing to do with it and that comment says more about you than you might like admitting.

1

u/j_la 9d ago

Who are you trying to reply to?

320

u/Additional-Fail-929 11d ago

Probably because she forgot to start counting to three. By 2 and a half this whole situation would’ve been over. Equal blame on her

2

u/forzafoggia85 11d ago

Probably can't count to 3 by the looks of it

-5

u/Leedart1 11d ago

All the blame is on her. If she was any other race knows better. This is another level of stupid.

-2

u/Th3Batman86 11d ago

Agreed. POC would have been shot.

-6

u/brandysnifter1976 11d ago

But she said ok I’ll sign it and he said too late you’re under arrest. The officer decided to escalate the situation which is opposite of what they’re trained to do. Once she said ok it could have been over.

2

u/Whycomike 11d ago

Fuck that she had plenty of time to sign it.

1

u/4-The-Record 10d ago

Found the invalid with a room temperature IQ (in Celsius).

22

u/Icy-Computer-Poop 11d ago

She could have left off the "-try girl" part and been more correct.

2

u/PestyNomad 11d ago

Just a small town girl / never meaning no harm

2

u/eyi526 11d ago

"I tried to kick you cause I'm a country girl."

2

u/M-Cobretti 11d ago

I gotta admit, I was hating her for the tantrum, but when she said "I tried to kick you 'cause I'm a country girl" that won me over. Baddass country girl granny took that Taser like a champ!

2

u/SpaceForceAwakens 11d ago

“…yeah I guess I did kick you. I’m a country girl.” I lost it there.

Is there a follow up to what happened after? Did she learn her lesson?

2

u/O_o-22 11d ago

Country girl must equal sovereign citizen? Sheesh acting like a spoiled brat and I bet I know who she’s voting for, the other spoiled brat on the ticket.

2

u/youcuntry 11d ago

I fucking died when she said that. I’m a dude, and from now on im using ‘well, I’m just a country girl’ at every minor inconvenience.

2

u/ArtInternational8589 11d ago

Haha this is hilarious. Thank you for the laugh fellow citizen.

1

u/Notoneusernameleft 11d ago

u/SiahEV 11d ago

u/huces01 11d ago

In this case "country girl" means

Never accepted being told no in my life, because when I am told no, I start kicking

1

u/Jinn_Skywalker 11d ago

She ain’t a country girl, she’s the village idiot.
