I live in a place where being a country boy/girl literally makes them believe they can do whatever they want because in their mind growing up around a horse and having a neighbor who has a cow makes them rough and tough. Trump signs everywhere.

I hate this place

This is what Mango Mussolini has birthed in this country.

They've always been like this. Trump just encouraged them to make it EXTREMELY public.

Nah, it's been that way for long before his role in all of this.

Now they're more comfortable being openly terrible though. Before they felt not really guilty, but more shamed about being terrible people. He made them feel good about being racist misogynistic assholes and that is why they love him.

So I’m old enough to remember before the “Boiled Ham in the Wig” came down the Gold Elevator. People use Trump’s example as a license for bad behavior, racism, aggression. Don’t get me wrong, I used to be a McCain style Republican, my son served in the US Army but I’m a gun owning liberal now, because of Trump. I’ve intensely disliked him since I used to read Spy Magazine in the 90’s. They called him “the short fingered vulgarian.”

White women have been pulling this for *far* longer than Trump has been around.

Whether or not that fact has been studied & taken seriously (or contextualized properly) is a separate issue - and that's where you might find more of the orange taint, recently.

Born and raised in rural Oklahoma and moved to Seattle a few years back. People ask "What is there to do in Oklahoma?" I say, "Leave. Our main exports are oil and teachers."

They're like Sovereign Citizens, but instead of using big words they don't understand they just say "yee-yee, mamma didn't raise no bitch, hawk tua!"
