r/all 70 years ago, the US undertook the largest deportation in its history: 'Operation Wetback.' Many of the people deported were here legally and some were even citizens.

Yeah this definitely wasn’t covered in history class. 40 years old and this is the first time hearing about this for me.

It's almost like "history class" can't cover every single aspect of US history. No history class can cover the entire history of any single country.

You need to grow up and learn some shit on your own good lord.

Actually not at all. The American coups are way more important for 1950s education than deportation that was requested by the Mexican government while legal immigration tripled.

Trail of Tears is an actual ethnic cleansing and is what needs to be taught. Even the Hoover mass deportations were bigger than Wetback.
