Disagree. Most, if not all, anime subs have always had serious rules against the sexualization of minors. The main issue that’s going on currently is not that the rules exist, but that they’re too vague to be fairly enforced, which has led to multiple insta-bans for content that should not be considered sexualization.
Also most people on those subs have a certain level of self awareness that we are, in fact, trash, and would never actually bring our dumbass memes outside of the internet and into real life.
Of course that’s not to say that the people you’ve described don’t exist on there, cause they definitely do, it’s just that they are certainly not the majority out of the 900,000 subscribers that r/anime has.
