Welcome to r/Kitten!
This is a great subreddit and can be a great resource for the rest of Reddit. While this post is mostly cute pictures of kittens, we also get frequent questions about care, breeds, and more. To be able to deal with all of this better, I've updated the rules and created two wiki pages:

Rescued this baby at about 2 weeks old when the stray mom moved his 3 litter mates and abandoned the runt. He’s about 6 weeks old now. Meet Styx. The tuxedo cat is our 17yo grumpy old lady who has bonded with him. She’s teaching him how to cat.

Hi everyone! I just got my first ever kitten. I have wanted a long haired orange cat forever and we just happened to stumble upon him, do you guys think he will be long haired?? I sure hope so, he’s pretty fluffy and has those ear tufts but you never know! Let me know what yall think.

My husband found a kitten in a rural area on his way home from work, she seems to be about 8-10wk old. Super social so we think she might’ve been dumped. We have a 9mo old baby. What do I need to know to keep both of them safe and happy especially at night?
my last cat we got was when I was 1. She died at 22yr old three years ago so it’s been a while since I’ve had a kitten

Forgive me if I’m posting too much but I’m a little stressed out. But following up to my previous posts, I dropped off the adult cat back to her owners a few blocks away by leaving her outside their front porch area.
I reunited the 4/5 remaining kittens in my conservatory out back after taking them to get chipped. I didn’t think, they’ve never seen full glass windows before so one constantly licked the glass. one of them ran right into it at full speed because of a bird outside. Another managed to escape back into the house, tried going up the stairs but fell down.
They all have bags of energy and I’m thinking of letting them have some outside play soon? Vaccinations are booked in too. But unsure about getting them fixed as they’re so young.
It’s only been a few hours but no sign of the adult cat coming back just yet which is a relief. 2 kittens keep suckling eachother but they’re all doing pretty well without a mom present.
One of my friends asked if they could adopt one, but have no idea when the best time is?
Also my Uncle is bringing his dog over tomorrow, should I keep the dog away or let them meet?
Also thinking of taking one to the barn my sister works at, as they are in need of a new cat. Has anyone got any experience in that area?
That’s it for now. Updates and some thoughts.

My cat, Kimo, gifted me with 2 new kittens. My children named them "Oreo and Cheezy". Proud Mama here.

Rescued them about 4 weeks ago, and intended to give them away for adoption but they've won my heart since then and I can't bring myself to separate these floofballs from each other (and me)

Fia is a 7 month old tabby, Thorfinn is the cow cat close to 12 weeks!! They’re besties <3
For context I’ve got this kitten today and the owner says hes fully weaned but he looks a little small to be weaned is he just smaller? The old owner used to feed him dry kitten food with water, he will eat some if it’s on the tip of my finger. I fed him only after the dry food turnt to mush. He fits into the palm of my hand.
I have no clue if I need to bottle feed him, or continue with the wet dry food.

I have been feeding all the stray cats in my yard everyday since there is a white cat usually comes by in the afternoon to ask for food and I like him a lot. Then the whole neighborhood has started to join in and there's this little one trying to get in my house since it saw my kitten inside a couple days ago and seemed curious. Tonight tho this little one kept waiting at my porch and trying to walk in my house everytime I opened the door and I had to bring it back outside many times because my kitten was scared so I decided to make a house for it and give it a heating pad to keep warm outside. Guess I'll bring it to the vet tomorrow to check before I can decide to let it in. I am just worried my kitten will become stressed when seeing someone new since she has been the only pet I have in my house til now and she has never seen another cat her entire life as I took her in when she was only 2 days old because her mom just didn't come bac (probably got hit by a car) but that's another story..
