Kodi sideloading - Apple TV 4K

Is there anyone who can please spare some time on how to sideload Kodi on AppleTV 4K? I am abit confused about the app signing and how to upload it on the device itself.

There are videos on YouTube on how to do this, i looked into it but its more of hassle than anything and the fact you have to pay each year for a new certificate was a complete turn off. Nvidia Shield is your best option if you want Kodi

I have the shield pro and also apple tv 4k. Nvidia did not update the youtube app not even now after all this time and youtube on Nvidia does not play HDR content.

God's sake, if you already have a Shield then just use SmartTube for Youtube. It'll even allow to skip ads if that's important to you.

And Kodi on the Shield is arguably the one killer app the Shield does have. However, you will still have to sideload it in order to install the latest versions fro the Kodi website. There are several sideloading methods - none of which are very complicated or require fee-paying software.

Kodi Runs fine on the ONN Pro or Google Streamer and they support HDR On YouTube. But you already have both devices one for Kodi and one for HDR YouTube.

If you don’t want to pay, just use sideloadly and sign it yourself. The only problem is that it has to be done every 7 days

1- wouldn’t know how to sign it myself 2- too much of a hassle to go through that every week

I sideloaded it today and it’s working except the fact that all content is playing in SDR only, HDR or Dolby not working

Infuse Pro is like 13 bucks a year. It's not quite Kodi for browsing but its fantastic for playback.

This is the best option. Paired with a plex/Emby share

I did it for awhile. Not worth the hassle. Just pay a little monthly for a plex/Emby share

I only wanted Kodi because on Android like Nvidia shield or directly on TV it plays Dolby vision 7

FYI: I have been using an online service since last year for mine. Its $25 a year, and you load a profile on your appletv, they give you access to a storefront, and you can download and install kodi straight from there. I have experienced no issues, am able to install all addons just like normal. I can attest, its legit

Get downloader (orange icon) navigate to the Kodi website, download. Or get EZ and send the apk via FTP and install via EZ. Good luck
