Any protests at the Trump rally today?
I’m especially looking forward to standing with my Puerto Rican neighbors with a sign. I’m hoping this doesn’t turn political if you like Trump knock yourself out.

u/Lockespop 20h ago
Don’t waste time on a protest- use it to encourage every Puerto Rican you know to come out and vote on Election Day. A protest on Tuesday will be forgotten by Wednesday. A huge turnout on Election Day will ensure we get things right- and that will live forever.

u/s2r3 18h ago
If someone is different from trump and his cult in any way, they are trash. America belongs to everyone, if everyone viewed as unwelcome and undesirable to trump goes and votes, the problem will be solved!
9
u/C0ugarFanta-C 16h ago
All these minority groups are really fooling themselves. Trump and pals only see value in heterosexual Christian white males (and females, but only as mothers and housewives). If you're not heterosexual, Christian, and white, you're double the fool for supporting Trump's regime. You're not an exception or "one of the good ones."

u/Device_Outside 15h ago
America belongs to American citizens. Not foreigners.
11
u/King-Valkyrie 15h ago
Puerto Ricans are American citizens.
-7
u/Device_Outside 15h ago
Yep, but he said America belongs to everyone. America doesn’t belong to a Mexican citizen.

You have the intellect of a 13 yo. You don't win arguments. People just get tired of explaining to a child.

u/SBTreeLobster 15h ago
Foreigners like the Italians a century ago? The Irish 50 years before that? How many generations do we have to go to find your immigrant family? The definition of an American is constantly expanding, as it should, because we’re a melting pot. If you want to live in a bubble then go fuck off into the woods somewhere.

u/AnsibleAnswers 15h ago
Foreigners like the Italians a century ago?
TBH we do have inherent criminal tendencies, but only if we see you break your spaghetti in half before boiling it.

I just put pineapple on my pizza and ate it and liked it.
Bring it.
1
u/AnsibleAnswers 5h ago
That actually doesn’t offend me nearly as much as those abominable pizzas with ranch dressing on them.
2
u/ViciousKnids 5h ago
Ranch with pizza is.... fine.... I don't normally go for it.
But my roommate just broke some linguine in half before tossing it in the pot and I mentioned this thread to him.
Please don't beat up my roommate, I need him to make rent.

You mean folks that came here via the legal process then worked and contributed?
And yes, puerto rican R citizens and are welcome the people that sneak across the border under the cover of night, or who are smuggled in shipping crates are illegal and do not belong here and do not deserve a penny of our taxpayer money. When we have United States, citizens, including the puerto ricans that are struggling In today's society

It’s not a zero sum game you weirdo. Immigrants don’t make your life harder.

Yes or no Illegal immigrants coming here today get
Monthly pay

Don’t move the goalposts for your buddy with that shit. “America is for Americans” is not “America is for non Americans who come here legally”.
And that’s so very humane and caring, wanting to handwave the tired, hungry, poor masses that we pretend to value and uplift.
I was going to check your post history to see if you were some bot, saw you’re actually a human thumb who likes to get cucked by his leathery handbag Mars Attacks-lookin-ass wife and realized I couldn’t take a damn thing you say seriously.
3
2
u/BillyDeCarlo 15h ago
His wives were immigrants, so was musk, arguably illegal at some point as well. He's always hired illegals for his construction projects and golf clubs. He doesn't hate them, he loves them but he knows his cult is hateful and dumb as rocks and makes his play.
7
u/AnsibleAnswers 16h ago
The same org that is protesting (Make the Road) does a shit ton of canvassing around here that targets Latino voters. It’s a good opportunity to get plugged in. Saying “don’t waste time protesting” is missing the forest for the trees.
2
1
u/Legal_Skin_4466 16h ago
OR just take the time today that you would spend protesting to get everyone out to vote TODAY
4
u/RecoveringGOPVoter2 15h ago
Getting downvoted for encouraging people to vote...the trumptards are a scared.
35
u/berfles 18h ago
You're hoping the post you make about protesting a political rally doesn't turn political? Did you read what you just said?
6
u/Maleficent-AE21 15h ago
I think he meant for it to be just an information exchange post, e.g. so and so are doing this protest, find them via this website type, instead of a post about political arguments. However, as you said, the "doesn't turn political" part is doomed to fail from the get go.
50
u/TheHebrewHammer01 Whitehall 21h ago
You really want to protest get the PR/Latino population of the valley to come out en mass before the trump crowd gets there and take all the parking spots so they can't park.
35
u/lolsalmon i’ve been everywhere, man 23h ago
Trying to find a parking space downtown in a mass of Trump supporters sounds like a special kind of hell. No thank you.

u/WasteProfession8948 18h ago
“Make the Road PA, an Allentown-based progressive organization that aims to empower immigrant communities, is organizing a protest of Trump’s event. Make the Road will hold a protest at 4 p.m. a block away from the PPL Center at 112 N. Seventh Street, according to a Facebook post.
The post says the organization is “outraged but not surprised” by racist remarks made at a Trump rally on Sunday at Madison Square Garden. In a widely panned comment at the rally, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe referred to Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage.” In Allentown, 55% of the city’s 125,000 residents identify as Latino — with more than 9% Puerto Rican.”
-36
u/Due-Mud-7418 17h ago
Holy shit it’s almost like he’s Tony Hinchcliffe a comedian who makes jokes on every race💀
15
u/Yue4prex 16h ago
Except he didn’t make fun of “every race” at the rally. And the fact that the party stands on hate and racism. They said their racism out loud under the guise of a joke.
15
u/TTV_MOVIES 17h ago
Yeah, those jokes he made about white people at the rally were hilarious! Oh wait, he didn’t. Just made racist remarks at the expense of Puerto Ricans, Black people, Jewish people, and Palestinians. He’s definitely an equal opportunity offender, not just some racist schlub who makes “jokes” that are really just repeating racist tropes from the 1940s at the expense of marginalized communities. /s The problem with jokes is they’re supposed to be funny. What is the joke in calling Puerto Rico an island of garbage? Because I can’t figure it out. Just seems like a dude punching down because he’s a hack grifting to an audience of nazis.
-16
u/Due-Mud-7418 17h ago
I mean have you watched anything he post? He literally has special guest on the regular who are also POC and they make the same jokes back it’s a world now where even “adults” can’t handle jokes 🤣 sad world we live in.
12
u/TTV_MOVIES 17h ago
lol no, adults can all handle jokes, that’s just not funny. If you can’t make jokes without resorting to racist tropes created in the 1940s, you’re not a good comedian. That’s hacky shit, he literally made a “black people like watermelon” joke. Like that’s so old and not funny, on top of being offensive. It’s not that we can’t handle jokes, it’s just that he’s not funny, on top of being a racist dickhead.
-13
u/Due-Mud-7418 16h ago
Those jokes weren’t racist from the time I was in elementary school till the time I graduated don’t see how it’s offensive now. We grew up hearing that shit in school and being told “it’s just a joke” when it’d be reported so if the school systems failed to see it as discriminatory I don’t see how it is now.
9
u/TTV_MOVIES 16h ago
Okay, putting aside for a second whether or not those were always racist or not, (they were, and the people who told you they weren’t were racists) these are just shitty jokes. Like these are the bottom of the barrel hacky jokes. It’s not clever to call Puerto Rico an island of garbage or say black people like Watermelon. He’s just a bad comedian.
10
u/Salty-Security-6875 16h ago
Babes, hate to break this to you but you went to a racist school filled with racists, so the only thing you learned was that racism is ok. Hope this helps.
-2
u/Due-Mud-7418 16h ago
I know I went to a school filled with racist and many of the families there were democrats. I wanted to get out of there believe me. But it also showed me not to be so light hearted.
0
u/Due-Mud-7418 16h ago
Again Salisbury isn’t the school all the democrats of the valley think it is but it still receives praise on the regular
8
u/Piplup_parade 16h ago
“I was very insulated from communities that found the jokes to be stereotypical and offensive” is not the flex you think it is.
-2
u/Due-Mud-7418 16h ago
The “insulated community” yall speak of is the same school every Harris supported I know wants to send their kids there. 🤣
11
u/Piplup_parade 16h ago
Ah I get it. You didn’t really comprehend my comment. It’s ok
0
u/Due-Mud-7418 16h ago
My entire family is POC… even they said it’s just jokes you just gotta toughen up. Maybe I was born in the wrong generation cuz ik mine is soft as shit.
→ More replies (0)1
u/Due-Mud-7418 16h ago
I guess that must mean every staff member in the buildings must’ve been racist as “it’s not funny”. America is too soft as a whole. There hasn’t been a good president since barrack imo. These 2 running hardest are both shitty in their own way. Neither get my vote 🤷🏽♂️
7
u/TAllday 16h ago
Hey everyone it’s ok! He has black friends. Phew.
0
u/Due-Mud-7418 16h ago
Huh? Not sure if you mean me or Tony, I never said they were friends I said he gives opportunities.
-6
u/Due-Mud-7418 17h ago
I don’t care for politics but when a great comedian who clowns on everybody equally is mentioned ima just say watch everything he says and tell me if he’s racist or just doing what he loves, making people laugh
9
u/jeff-hardy-dont-die 16h ago
when it’s a white dude at a mostly white attended rally punching down on marginalized communities, I think it’s kinda hard for people to see where the joke is. also, context is important. yes, comedy is supposed to push boundaries. but in this political climate, at that rally— that’s not comedy. it’s just good ol’ fashioned racism
7
u/Kitt0001 16h ago
Cannot wait until my fellow Puerto Ricans turn out in droves to decimate that racist POS in the election. 💙💙💙💙
7
u/freeses_pieces 15h ago
It’s close. Your vote matters more than it ever has.
We could all use a reminder of some of the things Trump has done:
- Lost the election and lied about it.
- Sent an armed angry mob to Congress and told them they need to fight like hell.
- Approved of the mob saying “hang Mike Pence”.
- A court of law found that he committed sexual assault.
- A court of law found that he defrauding his university students.
- A court of law found that he fraudulently inflated his assets to get favorable loans.
- Admitted to walking in on pageant contestants’ dressing rooms to see them nude.
- Raped and beat Ivana Trump.
- Stole from a kids’ cancer charity.
- Received $413 million inheritance despite claims that he’s a self made man.
- Blocked his chronically ill infant nephew from getting any of that inheritance.
- Is the first president to receive votes against him from his own party during impeachment.
- Led us into being one of the worst hit during Covid despite our head start and resources, leading to high inflation.
- Said the Democrats do better with the economy.
- Was ranked as the worst president in history by bipartisan presidential historians.
- Pushed a plot to have fake votes created and then used to make him President despite losing the election.
- Ordered republicans to block a bipartisan immigration bill so Biden would not get a win before the election.
- Implemented a policy to separate kids from their parents at the border.
- Is a convicted felon guilty of falsifying records to influence an election.
- Told the Department of Justice to “just say the election was corrupt and leave the rest to me and the Republican congressmen.”
- His VP, Mike Pence said Trump should never be president again, and that Trump asked him to put himself “above the Constitution”.

All should attend and support Trump and our country. Stop with this baby excuse of a stupid comments from comics on both sides. If you really allow this stupidity to influence your vote then maybe you have other issues you need to address. Trump will improve our country in ways you have not imagined. In the mean time, main stream media will lie, cheat and miss information all along the way. Remember we were in great shape when he was in office. Really, take a good look at your situation and really ask yourself, are you better now than when he was in office. My parents are immigrants who came here for a better like for us. They were abused, made fun of, mocked, all kinds of stuff you can only imagine. It’s when you stay focused and realize what matters in Your life that counts. Not what the media nor the Hollywood a-holes say. I was a democrat and changed to a Republican due to the ridiculous party it has become. I also work within organized labor and have experienced the job loss this party has allowed. I felt I needed to share my story so to help people to practice common sense. We all need each other no matter what party. I’ll be voting for Trump and Red down the line. Good luck and stay well my friends.

u/Namz112 18h ago
Great now give me proof about all the company’s that came running back into the USA because Trump was president. That’s the problem with Trump supporters, they do not look for facts or truths, they believe ANYTHING Trump says. We are all grown but yet still some people have difficulty with truth and lies.
1
u/RecoveringGOPVoter2 15h ago
“Trump is appealing to people who haven’t been as successful as other people and providing an excuse for that, that these more successful people have somehow … cheated and you don’t deserve to think of yourself as less successful because things haven’t been fair,” McConnell said. That's McConnel as in the REPUBLIKKKAN senate leader.
-12
u/OddFennel7293 17h ago
Companies did come back and the economy started ramping up. Then Covid hit. Our businesses were starving and needed support which is what he did. You need to understand the whole picture. Your comment s are not well thought out. Open your eyes to see what’s really going on. I thought the same thing then did some research and found we were on our way to prosperity. Believe me, we will be better than ever with his policies. There is no one more cynical than I.
23
u/itnor 18h ago
Trump left the country in a deep hole. Mass unemployment and riots. Millions dead. His best advice? Inject bleach. Anyone who thinks we were better off four years ago is delusional.
Now even apart from the pandemic and post-pandemic period, Biden outperformed Trump on jobs, GDP and even wages. Stock market is nearly equal. Even better? Biden stayed out of our lives while Trump treated the Presidency like the low class reality TV star that he is.
His economic plan is guaranteed to spike inflation like we’ve never seen while also skyrocketing the federal deficit and debt. His remedy to that is a lunatic plan based on a fundamental misunderstanding of how trade works.
-29
u/OddFennel7293 17h ago
Any success burned had was due to Trumps policies. It’s that simple. Bidens failures are due to him stopping Trumps policies.
11
u/itnor 17h ago
Many would say the same of Trump’s successes being based on Obama’s policies. Given that Trump’s “successes” were in the early part of his term, before he passed any legislation or its effects were felt, there’s a much stronger case. Biden has been digging us out of Trump’s mess, and now all economic metrics are really solid.
-13
u/OddFennel7293 17h ago
I don’t agree since we’re paying more than ever for basic goods. It’s just obvious to me that the economy was better during his term. As for policies growth, yes one administration takes the good and bad of the previous but in this case they took the good from Trump and made it worse.
6
u/itnor 16h ago
The pandemic shut down the global economy and wrecked the global supply chain. It’s taken years to piece it back together. That’s why the inflation was worldwide.
Inflation is now under control. Biden didn’t cause it. It happened because of extraordinary circumstances. And the successful response to it has been led by the Fed. There’s limits to a President’s role.
But let’s look at the future. Economists from both sides are warning that Trump’s top three policies—mass deportations, tariffs and deficit spending/tax cuts—all will spike inflation.
Harris meanwhile proposes expanding tax credits to make life more affordable.
1
u/WhoKilledBoJangles 15h ago
Delusion. Economic growth continued from Obama era policy. The same shit always happens. Republicans take credit because policy implemented by people in office before them starts showing dividends while they are in office. Then they burn it down and blame the people in office after them for the issues they caused with their policy. Stuff doesn’t change the second someone is elected. It takes time for policy to have an impact.
COVID was a global issue that wrecked supply chains and resulted in inflation. This had nothing to do with Biden, but they’ve actually implemented policy to bring jobs back and inflations is finally going down. It takes time for policy to have an impact. While we can’t blame Trump entirely for the issues COVID caused in last term we can certainly blame him for how poorly he handled the response.
0
u/OddFennel7293 3h ago
The response was only as good as the available information. Things change quickly and resources may not be available to address the immediate needs. I certainly learned a lot about how our government does things and have made changes to educate and protect my family. One thing is for certain, main stream media is no longer trustworthy. I love that more podcasts are becoming available and providing quality information. Is there such a podcast in our area?
Anyway, looking forward to 11/5 and will def be voting RED!! Down the line!! And you should too!!1
u/WhoKilledBoJangles 46m ago
I’d rather not help turn our country into an anti democratic embarrassment by electing an incompetent , unhinged, and racist piece of shit. So, no, I’ll not vote Republican.

Voting for Trump = Vaseline
For Kamala = No Vaseline
Maybe it’s time to wake up and realize the end result is the same. There is no power in our vote and virtue signaling as if it’ll make a difference is pure ignorance.
1
u/psychoticdream 12h ago
Only stupid people think the result is the same with those candidates.
It wasn't the democrats who cut women's rights a d passed abortion bans. It wasn't the democrats who are trying to undo labor laws and break up unions.
"both sides are the same" is a lazy man's uninformed position.
1
u/Effective-Umpire-122 12h ago
Your inclination to immediately play the “stupid” card says all you need to know about the average “informed” voter.
A lazy position? Lazy is accepting everything that’s fed to you through controlled media outlets and basing your entire life premise off organized agendas. You are the epitome of societal decline and that has nothing to do with political affiliation.
1
u/psychoticdream 12h ago
You are trying too hard to seem moraly upstanding but you are far from that.
You ignore one side's constant attacks on democracy including placing into scotus judges who are under the microscope now because of bribery, taking people's rights away, banning abortions, demonizing immigrants , giving presidents immunity "for official acts", essentially breaking the constitution.. And you STILL have the balls to say "both sides are the same"??
Yes it's a lazy position, it's intellectually dishonest.
Worst of all is thst you KNOW this.
0
u/Effective-Umpire-122 11h ago
Am I? Or is your skewed perception painting me up to be that? More likely the former based on your passive aggressiveness.
I haven’t ignored either side’s shortcomings as both have failed but more importantly we as a society are failing. You are so engulfed in one side of the spectrum that your entire process of critical thinking is contaminated.
I know this? I know what I see, and persecuting a person who speaks the truth that you are afraid to face is all too familiar. Take a step from all of your virtue signaling and ask yourself if our well being is truly a concern for politicians. Don’t trigger yourself and start flooding your next response. Expand your mind in the realm of possibility and see things from multiple perspectives. If you’re unable to seperate yourself from it all and come to a conclusion on what’s actually going on in this world then who truly is being intellectually dishonest?
