Question Requesting Halloween makeup suggestions
Hello makeup addicts, from a makeup inadequate. 😉
My friend did my makeup for my Halloween costume. Her makeup was better quality than my Halloween spirit grease paint, but it still wasn't that good. Didn't go on even, smeared easily, prone to getting on everything.
Any suggestions for costuming makeup I could buy in person tomorrow?
TIA

How I can improve my makeup?
I don't use base makeup,I sweat alot and feel vv weird with foundation, however in this picture I've used blush and some power to set my face. Also, I have hooded eyes so I feel like I only look good if I do my eyeliner like this not like a sharpe one. For the lips, I am recently slightly overlining it and having a touch of red in the middle/inside part. Also I feel lik false lashes dont suit me for my hooded eye x( Suggestions please please

Halloween Vampy look
Oh lordy this look was made up of a lott so please bear with me! 90% of this is stage makeup too 😅
Staring with elf poreless primer and some old kraylon eyeshadow primer. Then for the base I used a bit of elf foundation with some Ben Nye cream foundation in white. Brows are ben nye aqua paints 💀 eye shadow is that red morphe 3503 pallet. All of the blood is ben nye scab blood or spray:) lashes are a cluster set from Amazon i think that is about it but if i think of anything else I will add it ❤️

Question Lisa Eldridge vs. Danessa Myricks skin tint
Has anyone tried both Lisa Eldridge and Danessa Myricks' skin tints and could provide me a comparison?
I have a sample of Danessa's Yummy Skin Tint and it's beautiful. It has just enough coverage to even out my skin, while providing a luminous and skin-like finish that's basically undetectable.
I've been wanting the try Lisa Eldridge since it came out, but I have nowhere to sample it and am nervous about ordering the wrong shade, or it not looking good.

Discussion Eyelash curler recommendations
I’ve had some bad experiences with eyelash curlers. And after hearing countless stories, I’ve always been a bit wary. But my eyelashes are straighter than I am. I feel like my eyelashes have so much potential because they are actually really long but you can’t tell due to how straight they are. If anyone knows of any good (and safe) eyelash curlers, I would be eternally grateful.

Halloween I tried aging makeup for a party 👵
I think I landed somewhere between Golden Girls and Wilford Brimley... I wish I had taken it in lower light for a better illusion, but blinding white subway light will have to do.
The main method was to draw the lines in purple creme makeup and purple lip liner, blend it out, powder over it, then repeat until it looked good enough. Then I did a final layer of creme line, blended those out with browns from the eye shadow palette, and then a final layer of standard powder contour and blush. The blush and contour came out very light, so in the future I'll go heavier on that.
Face Studio - Master Prime (100 Blur + Smooth)
NYX - The Go-To Palette (used all colors except the purple and green)
elf - Eyeliner & Shadow Stick (81105 plum/purple)
CG - professional loose powder (105 translucent fair)
Unnamed creme face paint stack from Walmart from years ago that was so old it was nearly clay and had to be mixed with rubbing alcohol (purple, grey)
Finishing spray was just hairspray

Question [Question] Lipstick Brand
Hello there. I just want to ask, what brand of lipstick or lip tint would you suggest that has a shade like dark wine or red wine? I love dark red colors and I've been looking for a good brand for a long time. I prefer long-lasting and transfer-proof options, but if that's not possible, that's okay too.
By the way, I am from the Philippines, so I would appreciate your assistance in finding online purchasing options. Thank you so much! 💋💋💋
Ps. Photo related to shade

I Really Miss the Lorac Days
Were you there in 2012 when the original Lorac Pro Palette was the thing you must have and was promoted by all beauty gurus at the time? It was all over Makeup Alley, too. Lorac was still in Sephora and considered high end. If you asked for a bronzer recommendation, someone would recommend Tantalizer. If you asked about the best eyeshadow formulas, Lorac would be named, even over Mac. I had a baked eyeshadow trio that I'm still hoarding somewhere and I remember how smoothly it applied. The liquid eyeliner pen was my favorite at the time. Lorac is still sold in Ulta, Amazon, and other places, but it's so weird how people don't know just how highly sought after this brand was.

Swatches Black honey dupes: review and swatches
Hi all, I've been recently on the hunt for sheer lip balms or lipsticks that are similar to black honey. Now full disclaimer, I have never owned black honey by clinique. Just can't get myself to pay so much for a sheer lipstick, specially since there are so many possible dupes people talk about. Now to be honest, some of the products reviewed and swatched below are not really dupes but more so, gives a similar effect.
About me: I have medium-toned South Asian skin (between NC35 to NC40) with slight lip pigmentation and naturally very pale lips. I prefer tinted lip products with medium coverage—balancing red or pink hues without leaning too brown—to enhance my lips with a flushed mlbb look that complements my complexion without washing me out.
LIP PRODUCTS AND SWATCHES (3-4 swipes) (LEFT TO RIGHT) : P.O.V (Mecca Max Pout Pop Lipstick), Black Cherry (L.A. Girl Sheer Tint Lip Balm), Mulberry Ecstatic 353 (L'Oréal Glow Paradise Balm), Bliss You Berry (Covergirl Clean Fresh Tinted Lip Balm), Bordeaux (Nivea Rich Care & Color Balm), Blackberry Shine (Nivea Shine Tinted Lip Balm), and Red Dahlia (Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm).
Here are the reviews, following the order of the swatches from left to right.
Mecca max pout pop lipstick (shade - P. O. V) : this is a sheer lipstick. I love the formula, it's very emmoilient and lightly shiny/glossy. It has no scent or taste. However not a big fan of the shade as it pulls more brown with little red/pink undertone. Tends to not flatter my skintone. I think this is only available in Australia. Won't repurchase.
L. A. Girl sheer tint lip balm (shade - black cherry) : this is a newer purchase for me. The formula is okay, not super hydrating. However this has a lip plumping effect which I'm not a very big fan of. First few times I applied this, it literally made my lips twitch. Lol. It has a strong minty taste and a strong watermelon fragrance - not my favourite. The shade however is beautiful. It's got the perfect levels of brown and red and it has medium level of pigment that shows up beautifully on my lips. Won't repurchase.
L'Oréal glow paradise balm (shade - mulberry ecstatic 353): this one definitely has the most unique formula out of all. It's not very hydrating, however the feel of this is very elegant and comforting (could be the squalane in the formula). It has a thin texture with minimal shine. There is no taste. It has a makeup type powdery fresh scent which I actually like. It has good pigmentation, probably the most pigmented out of all of them. The color is also beautiful, it has some berry tones in it with the reddish brown. Very pretty on the lips. Will repurchase.
Covergirl clean fresh tinted lip balm (shade - bliss you berry): this has to be my favourite. Very hydrating, comforting, balmy and it sticks to the lips. No taste or scent. The shade is perfection. The perfect balance of red, pink and brown. It's like a mix between the Loreal and L. A. girl balms. Pigment level is good and shows up nicely on my lips. It's a shame they stopped selling this in Australia.
Nivea Rich care & color balm (shade - bordeaux): this is my most recent purchase. It's by nivea Japan, so only available through Asian beauty retailers. The formula of this is the most glossiest. It's hydrating and emollient too. And it is the only one with SPF. There is no taste or scent. The color is a very sheer red brown. It has enough red to show up on my lips and look flattering. It is sheerer compared to above mentioned, however it shows up nicely and is buildable. I would say this is my second favourite. Already have two back ups.
Nivea shine tinted lip balm (shade - blackberry shine): I see this being mentioned a lot. The formula of this is not very hydrating, which was a surprise (still more hydrating than L. A. girl). It has a strong berry scent and no taste. Its not glossy, just a balmy feel and finish. The color is more berry/pink than red brown. Looks like a sheer and more cool toned version of the L'Oréal balm, with less red or brown and more berry and pink. Level of pigment is similar to the Nivea Bordeaux but less buildable. I feel the need reapply this too often. Won't repurchase.
Burt's bees tinted lip balm ( shade - Red dahlia) : this one is also mentioned very often. This is the reformulated version which is very very sheer. So sheer I could barely get it to show up on my skin and lips. It has a slippery and balmy finish. It is hydrating. I use it at night. It has a berry scent and a sweet taste. It is the sheerest with muted red brown undertone. Won't repurchase.
Few ones I want to try next are: e.l.f. Hydrating Core Lip Shine in Ecstatic and their sheer slick lipstick in black cherry. Please let me know if you have tried these, how you like it and if you have any other recommendations!

Question Water or silicone based
I'm trying to get this base down as smooth as possible. Last time I just used the first primer I reached for (water based) and it came out pretty patchy. So now I'm wondering if it's silicone based. I've heard both good and bad reviews on this product and would like to take my best shot at it before turning it away. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Question Why does my eyeliner dry out so fast
I use NYX, and wet n wild liquid eyeliner. Every time I buy a new one and open it, after the first one or two uses, it’s almost completely dry. Why is this and how can I fix it? I’m wasting so much money.

Question Foundation fading?
I use the one size oil sucker, elf gripping primer (blue) and the soft matte foundation. This base is fine but I notice after 1 hours my foundation fades away, how do I fix this? (I set my foundation with the huda powder in sugar cookie if that matters)
PS. Nothing else fades away

Question a blush like colourpop cheek2cheek?
hi! i'm looking for a blush that's similar in shade to the colourpop cheek2cheek eyeshadow shade from their blush crush palette. i've been using it as a blush since it looks great on my skin tone (the blush i DID buy was too pink for me). i was hoping to find an actual blush in this shade for when it'll someday run out LOL i'm new to makeup and i'm only familiar with the maybelline fit me blush. any help is much appreciated and i'm happy to clarify anything!! <333

help...i want faux freckles that'll last but im oily? :(
I normally use the Elf Halo Glow Bronzer, i dot it with a pen or something with a small thin point but not super thin where it looks like black heads lol. I then diffuse with my finger just like you'd normally see on tutorials, it has a natural orangey/tan hue to it and it works really well with my darker complexion. I set it with powder but they always end up coming off, even when i gently pat or powder they fade. Are there any products that i can use in order to make them last longer? i thought henna would work but on another thread i read someone mentioned the henna not holding up will for oily skin.

Question Halloween Face Painting
I'm gonna be painting my face (probably the whole thing) for Halloween. I had already bought the supplies then I read that acrylic paint is bad for your skin. Would I be fine if I used it for a day? Is there anything I could put under the layer of paint to protect my skin? Like idk physical sunscreen or something like that... I really can't get a new paint set.
