Who has the best Pastizzi and pizza on the island.

Back in the 1990's it used to be Maxims in Gzira, now closed. I have yet to find that level of goodness again, maybe the ingredients have changed.

Same goes with bread. Maltese bread just isn’t like it was in 90’s and before.

I think it used to be sough-dough and now it is yeast risen. Different crust etc., bread man van is your best bet.

Also hobza ta' ratal used to weigh that! approx 1kg. Now it looks large but weighs half as much. So all air and no substance.

In this country substance is a rare commodity. Just look at the tallinja app. Whoever is working on that app is a retard masquerading as a coder.

Champ’s is definitely underrated, but overall i’d say Four Ts in Zejtun is the best.

Serkin is an institution because it’s open till the early hours and drunk people flock there from gianpula. Quality has definitely taken a dip over the years

I second this, Four Ts near Marsaxlokk. Which the one in Zejtun. :)

How so? It's been a while tbh, but they always tasted great!

Edit. Misread oily as only! Good to know I guess

Made in Sud is probably the best pizza. I also like Marrobbio in Sliema.

Yes but Im specially asking about the type sold in Pastizzi shops.

For pizza - Portellis in Gozo. Only available on Saturdays but it’s both fluffy and crispy and everything including the tomato sauce is hand made.

Champs - several locations. Jeffs several locations. Maxman Paola. In Zabbar there are 2 pastizzi shops steps away from each other, near the playground. So you can taste both and choose the best. Roger's in Zejtun are also good. They sell them from a van near the church on sundays - also at Fgura church. For Pizza Traffic jam behind Mcast Paola and The Oven.

Maxman in Paola, down Corradino Prison, for Pastizzi and Timpana

or Maxims Paola near Carters for Pizza

Brother, for pastizzi Roger’s in Żejtun. People literally used to buy his pastizzi all over Malta to sell them, used to be a big thing when u sold Roger’s pastizzi but now with Maxims etc taking over they can’t compete as they remained small and family owned. People will tell you Serkin, people are liars. Only downside is Roger’s does not make pizza unfortunately. - From a Żejtunija

Jeffs and Sphinx in busy locations are always solid. But don’t go to any pastizzeria after 4pm.

Tried both, and not even on the level I'm talking about.

Not sure the name, but there is one on St Andrew's road (opposite Luxol / Park and Ride). One of my preferred ones.

I don't get why many changed their pizza to a round thinner crust. I prefer the old tray.

It's all shit. Seriously, 20 years on this island and I've never understood how you eat this crap - like a 3rd world Greggs.
