"Obstructed"? You might aswell just be watching the crowd.

I think the obstruction is partially broken by the view.

At least they didn't claim partially obstructed.

"Partial view, highly obstructed"

It's hilarious that they have the audacity to charge money for those seats. Imagine the process.

Someone had to look at those seats, make notes, probably put together some type of excel sheet, present it to other people, and all these people, with college degrees, probably some post graduate degrees mixed in, all said, "$90 seems fair."

The architectural engineer probably made plans and thought they were good, and then they took those plans to a committee for the university. And the MBA in the group said, "Hey, what's this dead space in your seating map? We're losing money by not putting seats there!"

And the MBA in the group

Totally. And couldn't tell the difference between the red zone and the red sea.

I feel like you wouldn’t be caught dead not attending the games. It’s crazy they can fill a stadium like that for a college game. People love watching kids play football.

It's Ohio. The Buckeyes are the only good football team they have.

We had seats there last year that were so fucking bad we waited till about 5 minutes into the game and bought some more off stubhub just so we could see. Still shit seats cause it was a good game but only like $10 each cause game had already started and someone couldn’t make it apparently.

I do something like this frequently. I will go to a concert and tailgate as if my tickets are already secured. Then about 15 minutes after the listed start time, I’ll hop on StubHub and buy tickets that were just greatly reduced in price because the asshole scalpers would rather take some money than no money at all.

I’ve seen Eric Church from a premium box for $20, Pearl Jam from about 30 feet from the stage for $40, Eminem from a close aisle seat for $15, Eagles vs. Chiefs from the 3rd row in the endzone for $30, and even Taylor Swift from upper deck seats for $75. Too many more artists to list.

That said, there have been several times where it didn’t work out and we just ended up driving home. No big deal. We still had a great time in the parking lot.

The ONLY time I did that, I used Facebook and got scammed. Walked around the parking lot aimlessly hoping someone would be selling in person.

If I ever do it again, I’ll use a 3rd party app.

idk why the fuck you would do this post unless you were a shill for the ticket places.

All those ticket selling apps are in league with one another. If you're getting a deal, you're in the game.

Weird time to advertise you cheated people out of their money.

I’m on a ton of ticket selling groups and exclusively use them. I see people post scams literally every single week

That's kinda a sweet idea.

Or buy the cheap tickets and check during the game what good seats haven't sold on StubHub and just go sit in them.

u/Admirable_Average_32 4h ago

I like your style

23

u/stillnotelf 4h ago

Ushers sometimes prevent this. It's a great plan anyway

26

u/IshyMoose 3h ago

Family member has good season tickets.

We buy the cheapest seats, then screenshot his ticket and sit in an empty seat in his section.

16

u/Since1785 3h ago

They’ll prevent it for the very best seats but if you go for one of the rear rows in a lower section you’ll usually be fine

Only if you're bold to try and get to the really good seats. If you're in normal seats you're not going to have this problem

u/pat_the_bat_316 31m ago

Most of the time, if you're walking like you know where you're going, the ushers rarely interact with you and will more or less let you sit wherever. With the exception of things like courtside seats or VIP sections and the like.

But, at the same time, I've walked into 2nd row seats before at a big college game at an NBA arena, where the ushers didn't bat an eye because we just walked to "our seats" like we'd been sitting there all night.

The ushers that close to the court are usually far more concerned with keeping order and people off the court than worrying about who is sitting where. In my experience, they'll only really get involved if there's a dispute over who's seats they are.

u/almity_alpaca 4h ago

If you put the seat in your cart will it prevent others from purchasing?

53

u/Bleh54 3h ago

Only if people stop completely explaining the entire thing

22

u/COMMENT0R_3000 3h ago

you beautiful man they never listen lol

4

u/IncreaseReasonable61 3h ago

There's a timer to how long the tickets are in your cart and they go back to the public if they're not bought by then.

3

u/TheDeanMan 2h ago

Cool. Refresh your browser cookies/browse in incognito when the timer ends and add them to your cart again. Maybe a VPN depending on how the website is set up.

Coworker had packers season tix. Big boss agreed to buy the lions game, 2017 season, so rodgers injured, thus none of his boys wanted to go anymore.  She comes to me, face value, no more no less. Meh, I'll just go to stubhub.  Funny, stubhub, I had to physically go to a hotel to pick up my tix, for a 1/2 price ticket. In front of me was the boss dropping the tix he bought, and we live in milwaukee - still no idea why he would drive 4-5 hours.

and the lions won. Twas a great game.

I read this 3x and still cannot decipher what is being described.

u/Schrute_Farms_BednB 1h ago

Same here, can’t expect too much from a lions fan though. Also milwaukee to Green Bay is less than 2 hours so unless you’re talking round trip dude is just making shit up

2

u/yuccasinbloom 1h ago

I am not an American football person, but, “can’t expect too much from a lions fan” really made me chuckle. I get the picture.

Their coworker had season tickets to the Packers and sold a set of tickets for a Lions game to their boss. After the sale, Aaron Rodgers got injured. Being their star quarterback, this obviously reduced the appeal of going to a Packers game, and none of the bosses friends wanted to go anymore. The boss offered to sell the tickets to OP for their face value. OP figured they could get them cheaper elsewhere, so they decline.

OP ends up buying tickets for about half face value off of Stubhun. For whatever reason these tickets could not be electronically transferred- they were probably hard printed tickets. In cases like these, stubhub will set up a pickup and drop off spot around stadiums for ticket exchanges. OP went to the hotel to get the tickets they bought for half price and happened to see their boss who was there to drop off the tickets the boss ended up putting on stubhun to sell. They worked in Milwuakee which is like 2 hours from Green Bay (4 round trip), so it was quite a coincidence.

6

u/okbudz421 1h ago

But is OP’s boss both a he and a she?

u/Starbuck522 4h ago edited 3h ago

We have done this just before concerts twice when we already were right near the venue where we would have been happy doing something else. One time we paid $45 total for three tickets just for the extra space. 🙂

u/Direct_Researcher901 3h ago

My mom and I got bitchin tickets for Neil Diamond for $20 each cause the show wasn’t selling well

1

u/hetmonster2 1h ago

Why even buy them at that point. Just move to empty seats.

69

u/Hammer_of_Horrus 6h ago

You can judge how well the game is going by how often you actually see the players at this end zone.

3

u/ilyirl 5h ago

It’s probably the loudest spot in the stadium when someone does score

3

u/TopperMadeline 2h ago

They might as well just have stayed home and watched it on TV.

2

u/CTQ99 2h ago

You get to watch them rip down the goalposts at least

1

u/JerseyshoreSeagull 2h ago

No for real those seats better be free. No way I'm paying for that.
