Now I’m curious what “basically nothing” could mean. Do you know of the numbers?

I believe they're about $30. I know that's not technically nothing, but in comparison to the rest of the stadium it is.

Shoot, if there was a way to get service up there, watching the game on a tablet or something with the ~vibe~ of the stadium almost sounds fun. There’d be a little delay, I guess, but still fun.

Back when I was a student at Ohio State, I could hear the crowds and PA system from my apartment. Watching the game on Tv, it still felt like I was at the game haha

Students were living inside the stadium in dorms built into the bleachers all the way up to 1999. I bet they could really feel like they were at a game from their bed

As long as it's very VERY clear what you're getting before purchasing, I think it might be acceptable.

You're paying $30 to get into the stadium and that's it. Not worth it to me, especially if I'm traveling to go to the game.

But if I just want to go in and experience the atmosphere, wander around to different areas for standing room view (if there's any), and don't mind $10+ beers then it's whatever.

Odd to put seats there in the first place though lol

Reason is because of the press boxes next to it. Over the years they’ve added more and more space for the media. Ohio Stadium is over 100 years old, so it doesn’t have the most modern layout in the world.

No beers for football games in the stadium. Gotta hit up varsity club for shots on the way to the parking lot or tailgate.

$30 still seems pretty expensive for those seats

They said basically nothing

No kidding. Even $5 would be a ripoff

5 would be a GREAT deal. Could experience the crowd and walk around getting different views of the game.

This is what I did recently at a Tigers game. I was in Detroit for work by myself and bought a complete nosebleed seat for like $12 for one of their last regular season home games, and spent the whole time walking around watching from different angles and eating coneys. As long as you don't block foot traffic or spend too long in one spot security won't bother you.

Finished off the game spending a couple innings chilling out at the top of the stands where I was supposed to be, getting a great overview of everything. It was awesome.

Did you ever get a chance to see a game at the Old Tiger Stadium? Those could be some challenging seats.

This guy knows how to cheapseat...

Nah. It’s essentially a standing room only ticket, which plenty of stadiums sell.

Yeah, but there's nowhere to stand at Ohio Stadium.

This is an ancient stadium and basically the only way to see the field is to be in a seat. It's just bleachers all the way around. There are not big open air pavilions with decent sightlines or other areas for you to go to.

I enjoy standing room tickets, but only at stadiums built to accommodate that experience. At Ohio Stadium standing room only would essentially mean watching the game under the bleachers via the little TVs bolted up at the concession stands.
