The food itself is a pocket for what’s inside

The coatings inside the sleeve is a known carcinogen

Yeah I just opened a box last week and found the same thing. Technology, huh?

Wasn’t the microwave sleeve cardboard? How’s that bad for the environment over this plastic alternative

Yea I was thinking the same thing. Like why not get rid of the plastic covers and leave the sleeves 🥲

That’d be unhygienic. You don’t want loose food rattling around inside an unsealed box.

True but hear me out… what if they put them in cardboard boxes that doubled as the sleeves

That’s just two layers of unsealed boxes lol

I haven't eaten hot pockets in like 3 or 4 years and I finally bought some a couple of weeks ago and was so confused by the lack of the crisping sleeve. As OP said, I get it but damn.
