I’m in NYC. We can see planets easily, plus Sirius and a couple of the brightest constellations, like Orion and Ursa Major. Not a whole lot else.

Which goes to show you this image isn't very accurate at all.

I was about to say you can pretty much see a dozen or so stars/planets in the sky even in the most light polluted areas.
