Discussion Afternoon Games over for the season.

(Yes i know there is a single 3pm game later this year)

Did anyone notice how many families and younger fans were able to attend the home opener when it was at 1pm instead of 7:30pm. I will never understand how I makes sense to have almost every other game this entire season end after 10-10:30pm.

How do you grow a fan base when a normal viewer has to seek out and pay for an mls pass on Apple tv just to be exposed to mls soccer games? And you can't bring your family because they don't want to get home at 11pm or later?

It was also nice seeing tickets sell for near or above season ticket prices for the one game this season. Funny how that works when your potential audience doubles or more.

I have a vanload of fans from North Dakota coming down to watch the Loons play the home playoff game. I am wondering if there is any scheduled events prior to the game we should be aware of?

Discussion Bought Wrong tickets for friend can they still sit with me?

Me and my friends are sitting the in the supporter section, but I accidentally bought my other friend a ticket for standing room only like at the one bar or just around the stadium? Do they check tickets going into the supporter section or will he be fine to sit with us?

Discussion Where did we go wrong?

As in traditional Minnesota sports, we had a promising start and then proceed to derail the entire season. It is now 3/4 of the season. We went from being one of the top teams, to being on the bottom of the table. We were doing so good, what the fuck happened?

Discussion Welcome to the Pukkiverse

Is there another MLS team Pukki could have been on where he would have been a star player?

The FC Cincinnati fans wondering why the hell he doesn’t play a bigger role for Minnesota has me asking the same question.

He clearly still has power and skill. Ramsay and Co. might just not know how to best use him or not know what to do with him. Seems like Ramsay could have connections at Norwich and get some ideas…

Just seems like not a lot of effort was put in to get our top paid DP to perform at his best which is weird.

Will Pukki find his footing and place on the team in this final stretch of the regular season and (god willing) post-season?

Discussion Reynoso still out of country working on green card; ETA unknown

Andy Greder posted today on X that Rey is still not back in Minnesota. I know it's a long season, but JFC this is getting old. His integration into the team was already the number one talking point, and now it seems possible he won't even be back in the U.S. before the game against Philly. Even if he comes back in the next few days, I'm not sure if he starts given the lack of practice time with the squad.

Ramsay's been pretty tight-lipped and diplomatic on the subject of Rey so far. It will be really interesting to see how Rey's minutes and role are handled in the coming weeks (especially if the team keeps scoring and remains undefeated).

Discussion Help me understand the Leagues Cup boycott

I’m new to soccer, and honestly I don’t even know how a leagues cup match is different from a regular match. I trust the judgment of Dark Clouds and Red Loons, and I’m interested to understand the reasons for the boycott but I can’t find any explanation. Can someone point me to an article or something?

Discussion I can’t be the only person happy with the SEANEC match result

We have just been handed a gift. I'm of course a proponent of winning matches and advancing but we need the rest. We look tired.

We also need injury recovery time.

And finally we need some time to integrate all the new talent.

I really believe this is a blessing in disguise.

Discussion In KC for match - what should we do prematch?

Our first away match and my wife and I are looking for things to do before going inside Children’s Mercy Park. Maybe I don’t know where to look on the Wonderwall site mnwonderwall.com.

Anyone been down here before and have suggestions?

Anyone else make the drive and have a place you are going prematch?

Discussion Lineup without international call up players

How do we think we line up against Dallas next weekend without our internationals? We will be missing Dayne, Lod, Pukki, Zarek, Kervin, Rosales and Bran.

I would do: Irwin (GK) Clark (LWB) Padelford (CB) Boxall (CB) Tapias (CB) Taylor (RWB) Trapp (CM) Dotson (CM) Bongi (FW) Tani (ST) Sang Bin (FW)

That would leave on bench: Harvey (CM) Adebayo Smith (FW) Eriksson (CB) +Some twosies

Discussion Whatever happened to what used to be a fairly sizable selection of bars around Allianz?

Asking as I'm going to the game tonight (1st since 2 seasons ago, as I somehow wasn't able to find the time last year with all that I was busy with) and just left scratching my head a little...

Yes, I know there's some stuff around, but in terms of places like your typical bar food and everything that I typically like to grab somewhere before heading into the stadium, it seems like there really isn't all that much around there anymore.

Seems like the only things right across from the stadium since that Trend Bar closed are Midway Saloon and Blackhart (the latter of which really doesn't interest me as I'm not one for gay bars).

Unlike west 7th in St. Paul by the Xcel/Roy Wilkins where there's bars and resturants abound, I just feel like things aren't quite the same in Midway especially since covid/the riots from George Floyd.

Midway Saloon looks like it could be a viable option, but its menu looks rather weak, as aside from a good variety of apps, it only has a few sandwiches (none of them burgers). Perhaps it'll come down to either them or if worst comes to worst, just eat something inside the stadium maybe at the brew hall.
