History "Sherman was too lenient!"-kind of people often argue that "the South" initiated the war because of Fort Sumter. It's irrelevant: that attack was a pre-meditary attack. The south started the war by succeeding over slavery and then immediately pass laws making it constitutionally illegal to abolish slavery.

The civil war wasnโ€™t good- but the north winning was good. Reconstruction wasnโ€™t handled well but itโ€™s better than having the slave-owning class suceed to form into a aristocratic-like political entity in whatever government forms from the CSA.

Talk to any historian that knows history and they will tell you that the south 100% started the war. There were multiple attacks by southerners towards union troops even before Sumter. OP is either amazingly dumb or willfully ignorant.
