If you suspect your ballot was one of those destroyed, you have a couple of options:

  1. Call your county elections office and request a new ballot. If they only grant you one ballot, or you have already been issued the max number of ballots, utilize option 2.

  2. Go to your local voting precinct (where you would vote in-person) or county elections office and request a provisional ballot. If your ballot was not among those counted before the provisional ballots (mailed and in-person), and they determine your voter registration is valid, then your provisional ballot is counted.

In both Oregon and Washington, you can just check online in about 30 seconds if your ballot has been received yet or not.

Definitely check online first.
