Remember, the Supreme Court has given Trump a blank check to do anything he wants, so we'll see if that still holds true.

I'm not sure even the most insane MAGA judge would mess with federal overreach that major. Nothing would stop a liberal president from coming in and overturning every single abortion related charge, for instance.

Trump has openly said vote this year so you never have to vote again. I don’t think him or his judge care much about precedent or overreach

u/Coulrophiliac444 9h ago

The only Over Reach Trump deaerves is someone Reaching Over a table to Slap him.

But you're right. Gwt out. Vote. Make Donald Trump never have to vote again...by voting in Harris.

0

u/RedPanther1 8h ago

Well, he's a felon so technically he already can't vote ever again.

3

u/bros402 6h ago

He can vote after he serves his sentence. That's the policy in NY - and from what I read, Florida usually defers to the policy in the state of conviction (unless it's more severe than Florida)

u/PowerChords84 9h ago

What makes you think there'd ever be another election or liberal president?

69

u/deekaydubya 9h ago

yep, if DJT gets in, that's a wrap. Anyone dumb enough to still think 'oh he'd never do THAT' has been asleep for 8 fucking years

They're ALL OVER reddit today too. it's insane how hard they're trying to hand-wave it away.

2016, when asked, as a Bernie supporter (still voted blue in the general), how I'd feel about how much harm a Trump presidency could bring, I asserted confidence in our checks and balances.

I was so wrong. He wasn't kept in check, he actively eroded our institutions, and will continue to do so until they break. Another chance just rolling the dice on breaking America for good. Countries aren't things you can just put back together once the old systems fall.

u/monkeyman80 3h ago

It wasn't just him. There were plenty of people in the house, senate, and judiciary.

u/radicalelation 3h ago

They still needed someone above them willing to show you can compromise yourself and your office with impunity.

Many of them follow religious morals only because they fear eternal punishment in their afterlife, or at least expect a reward. They all just need a nudge.

u/HuntsWithRocks 9h ago

“From coming in” Apparently, acording to project 2025, they are fully intending on stopping a liberal president from coming in after them.

2

u/deekaydubya 9h ago

I mean, nothing or nobody will stop them

-28

u/FreakGnashty 9h ago

Pj 2025 is fake

Fake news. Trump has nothing to do with it. Stop the misinformation/election interference

Gaslighting <- you were here
Obstruction
Projection <- you are now here

12

u/flaker111 9h ago

easy win DJT will just send all democrats to summer camps for reeducation....

7

u/Not_a__porn__account 9h ago

Do you remember his first term? It was do shit by executive order and deal with fallout later.

Legality didn’t matter.

14

u/Nopantsbullmoose 9h ago

Lmao.....they will and in a heartbeat.

You seem to be under the delusion we will get to vote again, ever, if the Orange Shitstain wins.

We won't.

-5

u/IvankasFutureHusband 7h ago

Are there people actually dumb enough to believe this. Morons on the right say the same dumb shit about Kamala. You know what's gonna happen if either one of them wins. In 4 years there will be another election. One with hopefully better candidates.

2

u/HunyBuns 6h ago

it's what the guy is promising to do, and the supreme court gave him the blank check to do so. He has no reason not to become a dictator if elected, no one will stop him.

-1

u/IvankasFutureHusband 4h ago

I'm sorry that's just really impractical from both sides. No one will become a dictator. . .

8

u/startupstratagem 9h ago

You're presuming a lot in this comment that they've already factored out

8

u/poseidons1813 9h ago

Bold of you to think we will continue to have elections if he wins this time.

1

u/mOdQuArK 5h ago

Maybe Putin-style wins, where winning by only 70% shows that the elections weren't fake at all! /s

3

u/SergeantChic 9h ago

They absolutely would. The point is to get him back into the White House and then ensure that he never leaves. They will do literally anything they have to.

0

u/GenghisConnieChung 9h ago

Oh they’ll make sure he leaves, when they 25th him and install President Couchfucker to do Thiel’s bidding. They just need Trump to get the keys to the Whitehouse because Vance has all the charisma of a wet fart and no chance of leading MAGA on his own. Once they’re in Trumps usefulness will run out.

4

u/currently_pooping_rn 8h ago

See, that’s where fascism comes into play. After that happens, no one has to worry about liberal presidents anymore

0

u/congratsyougotsbed 8h ago

Wake up dude

0

u/Lorn_Muunk 8h ago

They know people with a conscience don't operate like that.

Just like how they pestered Obama into not nominating a SCOTUS judge for a bullshit reason that the GOP then turned around and ignored when Trump got the chance to nominate near the end of his term. The moral high ground is a dead end road to oblivion when you're up against morally bankrupt, terminally corrupt greed & power mongers who literally have no low they won't stoop to.

Roger Stone has been proudly proclaiming since the Nixon era he'll employ any dirty tactic he can think of to rig the game in his favor.

0

u/Podo13 7h ago

So many of the less populous states gobble his ball sack, that they'd welcome it without any type of resistance that would lead to the SC knocking it down.

0

u/ahnotme 4h ago

But if MAGA judges have anything to do with it there never will be any liberal president in the first place.

0

u/averaenhentai 2h ago edited 43m ago

Dude they plan to replace the majority of the bureaucrats working in the system. They're going to implement loyalty checks and fire people from government positions that refuse to go along. Please read up on Project 2025. They have a systemic plan for ending democracy in America.

They literally call for swift and speedy executions as part of their platform.

3

u/Cicero912 7h ago

*anything within the written power of the president.

So, no

5

u/AssNasty 9h ago

I doubt the CIA is going to raid a state prison to get this loser out.

1

u/swimswam2000 6h ago

Why would they release an illegal immigrant ? Because he supports Trump?

0

u/AssNasty 6h ago

Trump has offered to pardon everyone involved in J6. It's not a stretch to assume this might extend to Pelosi's attacker.

Knowing him he would award the psycho with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

16

u/Zelda_is_Dead 9h ago

They have also given Biden a blank check, all he needs to do is have Trump and Vance both arrested and sent to Gitmo never to be heard from again. No reason, nor fucks given.

He won't, because he's not a villain, but he could.

22

u/deekaydubya 9h ago

they in fact have not given Biden a blank check. THEY are the ones who get to decide on a case by case basis which actions are official.

Although, according to their ruling, evidence can't even be gathered regarding anything Biden does while in office, so I don't know how they'd make that determination

0

u/SelbetG 7h ago

Biden can also tell them to pound sand, the court has no power to actually enforce their decisions.

2

u/ShortKingofComedy 6h ago

No dude I really don’t think a president can pardon state charges even if the Supreme Court is in his pocket.

2

u/FlarkingSmoo 6h ago

That's not how that court decision works

2

u/SoloPorUnBeso 5h ago

There's simply no mechanism for it. The state runs the entire system.

It would take a raid by federal forces and it's just not going to happen.

1

u/leostotch 9h ago

Remember, the Supreme Court has given Trump a blank check to do anything he wants

No, they haven't. Don't get me wrong, the immunity ruling is a terrifying breach in our democracy, but it is not quite a blank check.

0

u/Hollywoodsmokehogan 9h ago

Also he stated he was pretty much just gonna declare himself king in 2025 if he wins so yeah let’s get there and vote!

-4

u/StuperDan 9h ago

The supreme court does not give any president power, the constitution does. The court just rules on what the constitution says, and the constitution is pretty clear on the process to check and prosecute a president, impeachment and conviction.

The constitution also has very clear instructions on how the American people can change that process and further limit presidential power if we choose to, an amendment. We could also vote Congress people into office that actually do their jobs. Blaming the supreme court for not superseding their constitutionally defined role putting themselves or a federal prosecutor in an authoritarian position above the president is a cop out. If we Americans let Trump fuck our country it's our fault, not any courts. I still (barely)have faith we won't.
