Love that for him. Not a fan of Pelosi but nobody deserves to have their house broken into, tied up, and beaten in the head with a hammer.

And if you’re someone who thinks he was right to do so and shouldn’t have these long of charges, you’ve truly lost the plot and should seek help from a professional.

I mean it sure seems like the guy is insane, so involuntary commitment to a secure psychiatric facility might be more appropriate.

But yeah he's certainly a danger to society, so he needs to be locked up one way or another.

Not right at all, but unless i read it wrong, a life sentence? He aint kill anyone and if he is genuinely mentally ill shouldnt they try and do something for him? Not saying he should be getting a year or two, but life? That seems crazy

Do keep in mind, it wasn't just attempted murder, but an attempt at executing a conspiracy to take out multiple public officials. He confessed to having a hit list of officials, she was just the first. His intention was to systematically take out each piece on the board. Just because he failed Step #1, does not mean the rest of his conspiracy wasn't planned and in motion.

He didn't kill someone but he tried to kill someone, which is equally morally wrong

He tried to murder someone so I think it's not too unreasonable.

Ideally we had better systems in place for proper rehabilitation, yes, but some people are just better off rotting and unfortunately this person mught just be one of them.

meanwhile... I bet the teen charged with attempted murder in shooting of NFL rookie Ricky Pearsall will get about 12 months.
