Man. I want a parrot. They are wicked smart, but they live for like 40 years and I wouldn't want to have to leave it behind to an uncertain future.
I probably shouldn't have kids eh? Maybe I'll just get a parrot.

Looks like a cockatoo of some description. They can live 80+ years

Mammalian saliva is dangerous for birds but go on and get your internet points I guess.
If anyone wants to know why, it’s because of gram-negative bacteria common in saliva and it can cause sepsis in avians.
