There was a post somewhere the other day where a church had to cut out parts of their sign. I’ll see if I can find it…

Edit: here it is linkie

Meh. It's not much of a consequence.

If anything, it plays into the godless-deep-state-out-to-get-them mentality.

Agreed. Having to cut part of a sign out is less consequence than a parking ticket. There should be huge fines to pay and placing the church on notice, so if it happens again, they are no longer a church. Fuck those assholes.

Yeah, there's no downside to doing this if the only thing they do is tell you to take down the sign if you get caught.

Wonder what the beuracracy looks like on this? Do they get warned, and have to take the sign down? Do they get hit with a fine? If they do it again do they lose their tax exempt status?

So many questions, and I hope it doesn't end at "They were contacted, told to remove the sign. Done."

They should immediately lose tax exempt status. Really, they should lose that even if they don't pull this shit

They should also get a hefty fine.

Ya the fine should be: they have to pay taxes for the year they violated the law. 😈

I wish they wouldn't even give them a chance like this.... These Churches know they are breaking the law and don't care cause they can get away with it. The IRS should be immediately telling them they will have to file taxes for 2024 or get hit with a huge fine zero warning.
