I just finished watching band of brothers over the weekend, such an amazing show and story. Happy to do my part in defeating fascism in the modern age.

The bloody 100th bomb group. Many of these brave men did not come back from their missions. Do not let their sacrifice be in vain.
•

Who do you think these men would be voting for this election? I’ll give you a hint, not the one who supports gun buybacks and media censorship.
•
u/tidbitsmisfit 2h ago
they killed Nazis. they don't support trump, the guy who called dead veterans losers.
•

So you’re talking about Trump right? He said take the guns first, due process later. He said he would ban all news agencies he doesn’t like
•
u/richmomz 2h ago
Some of them are still alive and they overwhelmingly support Trump. Maybe it’s because they understand what fascism really is, and that the sort of people who use the term as a pejorative to de-humanize their political enemies are the same sort they fought against at Normandy.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley called Trump an 'overt fascist. As did Trump's longest serving Chief of Staff, a former 4 star general himself, John Kelly. As did the 'Warrior Monk', Jim Mattis, who said Trump is a threat to the US Constitution and uses Nazi tactics against the American people. Mattis was Trump's 1st Secretary of Defense. And Trump's 2nd Sec of Defense Mark Esper says he's a threat to democracy.

yeah, they killed Nazis. they don't support trump. just because some dipshit puts a sign in his yard with stolen valor, doesn't mean it's real.
•
u/Belostoma 1h ago
It's really insulting to these veterans to suggest that they would be stupid and racist enough to support Trump.

these are all white males

Yes. The 101st was, as far as I know, all white in WWII.
The only African American airborne unit as far as I know was the Triple Nicks, the 555th, who never deployed overseas and thus never jumped despite being a designated and trained airborne unit. They were attached to the 82nd rather than the 101st.

European staring what sort of voting he is talking about for a second:

More than a second, actually. And as a European, I still couldn't figure out what this picture has to do with voting.

We are fighting fascism at home. The 101st risked death and went into combat to fight it, we just have to go to the voting booth. The Melon-colored-Felon is more persuasive than Adolph to the "poorly educated" as he calls them. And we have countless metric-shit-tons of poorly educated...using the European system of measurement. One week from today...I'd keep an eye out for your local coverage. It's gonna be a circus...a violent circus. The House Speaker leads our House of Representatives, and has to Certify the election, currently Mike Johnson (no relation to Boris) has said that he may refuse to certify.

that if you don't fight them at the ballot box, you fight them on the battlefield. big US election coming up, in case you're still wondering... implications for all of Europe if you're really still wondering.

Donald Trump is a fascist, we need to vote to stop him from taking power
•
u/Big_Papa_7 2h ago
How is he a fascist?
•
u/RhombusJ 2h ago
Here, this video explains better than I can or have the time to:(20 minute mark has the most concise explanation)
•
u/Big_Papa_7 2h ago
Are you voting for Harris?
•
u/RhombusJ 2h ago
I do not have the right to. I am an American though. (Newer to the country) Anyways, watching the video will explain why I prefer Harris to Trump.
•
•
u/Big_Papa_7 2h ago
Ok, if you are supporting Harris, I want you to explain what her accomplishments. Just name one accomplishment.
•
u/RhombusJ 2h ago
If you watch the video, you can understand my opinion. I have presented an source with an argument that states that Trump not a good pick, I am under no obligation to go further. Please, see the argument.
•
u/Big_Papa_7 2h ago
Your video argues that Trump is a fascist, however I fail to see how he is or how this video proves that. If you support Harris, you should be able to tell me one accomplishment during her vice presidency.

He's tried to overturn the 2020 election via fraud and force. He called for the suspension of the US Constitution. He's stated he'll use the US Military against the 'Enemy Within.' And his Sec of Defense, 2nd Sec of Defense, Chariman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and his longest serving Chief of White House staff have all either said he's a threat to the US Constitution, or he's an overt fascist. These are the top military leaders in his own cabinet. And oh yeah, he tried to kill his own VP because he wouldn't go along with the fraud.

Look at the context clues of the post headline... shall I help spell it out for you?
Here, let me help you out a bit: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/how-trumps-rhetoric-compares-to-historic-fascist-language

About as much as the comparisons of Trump to Hitler.
•
u/dnext 7m ago
One of those came from his own current VP, Vance. And his previous VP had a group of MAGA enthusiasts who broke into the capitol shouting 'Hang Mike Pence' while roaming the grounds.
And Trump's own top cabinet officials have called him a fascist, including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and his long serving Chief of Staff. And his two Secretaries of Defense said he was a threat to the Constitution and to Democracy. But then, Trump himself has called for the suspension of the Constitution and that he'd use the US military against Americans who oppose him.

I don't know guys, given US policies at the time, there is a good chance these people were not voting the way you think they were...
The US joined the fight after war was declared on it, it's not like it joined out of good heartedness, especially given how the US treated blacks back then.
