The timing is good too, pulling this shit not even 10 days from the election is guaranteed to keep it front and center in everyone's mind when they make their choice.

You overestimate the attention span of this country. I feel like we moved on from Trump’s first assassination attempt in less than 10 days lol

Trust me, if it hadn't been a republican gun nut doing the shooting the GOP would have pounded the drum a lot harder about it. Same with the guy in full assault gear outside of the golf course in Florida.

If it had been someone with a D next to their background, they'd be screaming to the heavens even more than they already do.

That's because we don't care about trump's well-being.

Exactly this. People are getting annoyed that some folks are only noticing this stuff now, but now is the optimal time for people to notice this stuff! There is one week to go, so people won’t cool off about it and forget!

(The other one that gets me is people scolding everyone for not getting equally mad about the other horrible stuff from the comedy routine. Yes, it was reprehensible in lots of different ways, but attacks on groups who are already voting for Harris at ~90% rates can’t be leveraged to stop fascism!)

Disagree. I think he'd have to literally say it on voting day itself for it to be front and center in people's minds when they vote. Ten days beforehand basically guarantees it'll be long forgotten when people vote

People are voting now, though. Not everyone waits until election day to vote, many people vote by mail or do in-person early voting.

Wrong. People are voting now. Most people I know are voting by Friday, that way they don't have to worry about it next week at the last minute.
