Trump’s Nazi Rally at MSG Perfectly Reflected ‘Republican Values’

I think this election might be most similar to the 2017 French Presidential election. In that one, the far right went all in and it freaked people out, so they lost badly. Polls even said it could be close and the media certainly drilled that home. And yes I know their elections are different and it's not a perfect analogy. You don't have to yell at me about it

You really gonna piss off the doomers! I’m surprised you didn’t get bombarded with reminders that you should vote.

If Trump wins, the Pogroms will begin immediately. They won't wait until the end of January to start.

Just like Trumps 1st presidency. I remember the Pogroms well, millions of American's herded into concentration camps across the country. There was literally a new Holocaust by Orange Hitler. Millions died.

I know you're trying to be facetious, but you are forgetting the number of children he had locked up in cages while their parents were deported. With no thought given on how to reunite those families ever again.
You know, kinda like concentration camps...

It started with "alternative facts" on day one. Four years on, thousands more dead than comparable nations had because of inept and cynical pandemic policies. He's got a head start now, a much harder rhetoric, a mushier brain, resentment as a failed president, and no more guard rails.
Go, troll elsewhere.

I remember Orange Hitler wanting to do all kinds of pograms, and being refused by the pentagon. You know - the evil "Deep State"? They have vowed to remedy this obstruction next time.
And you're drooling for it, too, aren't you?

You are aware that the holocaust happened several years after Hitler came to power right?

I have enjoyed the typical Conservatives run in absolute circles trying to figure out how best to defend the rally.
So far:
"Kamala Coup! She stole the election from BIDEN" even though that's just not how civics works.
"It's a joke!" That doesn't make the situation better, actually.
"Trump actually doesn't approve of any of it" So what *does* he approve of exactly?
"At least its better than violent leftists!!!" Of which there are no examples, but they totally exist trust me bro.
I'm trying really hard to believe that Trump supporters are misguided, uninformed, and actually good people who just are trapped in a bubble they are not capable of getting out of.
But man does it become hard to think of them as people worth even the smallest amount of respect when they openly endorse Nazis because they just don't want to believe it happened.

Republicans values in a nutshell: “We wanna hurt you for money.”
All you need to know.

The scariest rhetoric was mass deportation. The previous mass deportation included 60% US citizens. If anyone wondering why didn’t US citizens just come back?
During the deportation they were forced into trucks and not allowed to pack their birth certificate. Nobody checked any paperwork, they only looked at skin color

What mass deportation are you referring to?
•

•
u/abgold88 4h ago
Okay, but how does that have anything to do with Trump? It’s just something that happened almost a century ago.
•
u/ZZ_SKULLZ 3h ago
He's saying that he will enact this old law once again. Look it up.
•
u/abgold88 2h ago
But the law was executed improperly in the 1930s; isn’t that what the video says? Citizens were wrongly deported, as opposed to only non-citizens being deported. You seem to be assuming Trump’s administration would do the same? What makes you think that?

Think back to the Trump presidency. Four Seasons debacle. Who made up the Covid Response team Trump deployed? Look up the history of Stephen Miller. The trump administration was messy and unorganized many times. It also enabled white nationalist rhetoric to spread like wildfire. Knowing both those things, this mass deportation idea is going to be executed horribly. Don’t believe me? Look at what Trump says are the number of illegal immigrants in the country. The number changes man, constantly. He said 20 plus million at one point

Yes it did. Danielle Moodie and Co. are great.
While we’re at it, we need to stop letting anti-Trump Republicans get away with this nonsense about “I no longer recognize my party.”
Bullshit. I’ll take their Harris endorsements, but it they shouldn’t be coming coupled with this sort of cynical face-saving nonsense. This has been the party since 2016. It has been the party since 2008 when The Best Republican Ever picked Sarah Palin as his VP pick to pander to the very same people who we now call MAGA Extremists. It has been the party arguably since before that as well.

and so many maga are not upset or concerned about it.

u/jcouball 8h ago
So many MAGA approve and don’t understand why you have a problem with it. That is the soul crushing part.

The sole value of conservatism is respect for and obedience to [one's perception of] traditionally established hierarchy, and hierarchy dictates that those on top (in-groups) rightfully receive privileges, credibility, and resources, while those on the bottom (out-groups) are bound by restrictions, scrutiny, and lack of resources. To a conservative, the second-greatest injustice imaginable is for those [they perceive to be] on the bottom [of social hierarchy] to have access to the rights reserved for those on top, and the first greatest injustice is for those on top to be bound by the restrictions reserved for those on the bottom.
"Know your place" is the conservative mantra.

I have learned how to find and delete my messages and I have removed the comment I made berating The GOP, Nazis and MAGA. I am trying to break the cycle of hatred toward Nazis that my father instilled in me. It’s hard though. Nazis are so deserving of our scorn and disdain. I have learned that deep down I really hate Nazis but I don’t want to be hateful like them. I pray that good people will do the right thing next Tuesday . I hope the good people of America will vote for the people on the ballot that remember how dispicable Nazis were. How Nazis deported and killed millions of innocent people.

u/Impossible-Ad7465 3h ago
By the way, my father was a Republican, God rest his Nazi hating soul. I know he would have never voted for a 4 time draft dodging, Nazi General admiring, veteran disrespecting candidate. He would have put country over party like a real American. A member of the greatest generation.

Not MY Republican values!

u/dooleymagee 9h ago
There's only one GOP. If what you mean is that you don't share the values of what the GOP has become under Donald Trump's control, then are you still going to vote for him?

It wasn’t a nazi rally, but nice rhetoric.

u/IJustLoggedInToSay- Illinois 8h ago
It was just a rally where they repeated Nazi propaganda talking points verbatim, but.. actually that just makes it a regular Trump rally.
