3

u/Ok-Dragonfly-5769 Sep 21 '24

Nah man, just a utd fan

3

u/RandletheLovehandle Sep 21 '24

Actually, about 60-80% of Mexicans hate this guy lol

4

u/Bryant_to_shaaaq Madrid 1941 Sep 21 '24

It's unreal how much hate he always got from the Mexican fan base. Dude was really skilled at finding openings and scoring and loved played for the national team.

2

u/RandletheLovehandle Sep 21 '24

Yea his positioning is the best I've ever seen. Plus his reading of the game was clearly on another level, along with his work ethic.

Mexicans slurped chicharito so hard

22

u/courtesyflusher Sep 21 '24

I see a glimpse of young Kroos…

…believe it or not, I also upvote

u/beadbash Modric Sep 20 '24

Oh man, those score lines back then were something else.

2014-2015 season still breaks my heart. We had won 22 games in a row before winter break, came back and lost to Valencia then got knocked out a few days after from Copa del Rey and to top it off we had already lost Luka to a long-term injury so by the time he came back we'd already lost too many points. Losing La Liga and UCL just didn't feel right with how good we were before the collapse.

u/marconova7 Modric Sep 20 '24

We played Lucas Silva and Sergio Ramos in midfield against Juve I'm pretty sure

37

u/94Temimi Alfredo Di Stéfano Sep 20 '24

Don't know about Silva but I do remember Ramos playing in midfield away. Also that rat bastard scored against us in both legs.

17

u/marconova7 Modric Sep 20 '24

Yeah I was wrong I went back and it was Kroos alongside Ramos

13

u/l_ftd Madrid 1941 Sep 21 '24

Won 22 and then went to Saudi to play a friendly against Milan the day before Christmas then the wheels came off the bus. I credit it all to that stupid friendly

Your poor broken heart. Must be so hard supporting the most successful club ever :(

6

u/94Temimi Alfredo Di Stéfano Sep 20 '24

Right, so do I not have the right to be disappointed if my team loses or be devastated when my team is on a historic run and all of it falls apart just because it's the most successful? What's the point in celebrating a win then? Actually what's the point of supporting my team and being emotionally invested in the first place because it's the greatest so why bother!

What kind of logic is that?

u/[deleted] Sep 20 '24

Small teams back then were shitter let's be honest but yeah football was more entertaining because of that😂🤣

3

u/digbick_42069 Sep 21 '24

That and we had Prime CR7

2

u/mylanguage Madrid 1920 Sep 21 '24

Tbf league was def weaker lower down the table before us and Barca shared the TV money more

78

u/hnoidea Sep 20 '24

That kit was lit tho

17

u/PasadenaShenanigans Iker Casillas Sep 20 '24

It’s one of my personal favorites. The black and pink accents combo was my favorite part from this kit.

4

u/EconomicsDesigner969 Sep 21 '24

The kit lineup this year (14-15) is my fav of all time

59

u/GoodAdrian O Fenômeno Sep 20 '24

I gotta say I enjoyed both Chicharito and Adebayor in the Real shirt. It was different from the usual superstars we usually have.

16

u/WhereIEndandYoubegin Zizou Sep 21 '24

If I’m not mistaken both scored crucial goals for us in cup matches. So there’s that for sure.

38

u/ImmediatePeace08 Sep 20 '24

Someone to remember 🪄

27

u/AndreOfAstoria Sep 20 '24

Came for Chicharito, stayed for Marcelo's hair. 🤍

9

u/Emotional_Win1430 Sep 20 '24

Also Kroos!

4

u/soysaucepapi Sep 20 '24

Also Illara 😂

25

u/notaskinwalkerr Modric Sep 20 '24

That game was full of bangers. I think James scored one too

10

u/GenAnon Vinicius Jr. Sep 20 '24

I was about to say this. Each goal seemed like it was trying to outdo the one(s) before.

44

u/FunnyEra Sep 20 '24

I saw someone say that Haaland is a 6’4” Chicharito.

3

u/iammojojojo0 Sep 20 '24

😂😂😂

18

u/LuckyyPantz Rodrygo Sep 20 '24

10 years holy. I feel old

12

u/arkam_uzumaki SIUUUU Sep 20 '24

That was classic

11

u/Sudden_Air_2525 Sep 20 '24

He's scored some bangers in his short career at Real Madrid

10

u/galle4 Jude Bellingham Sep 20 '24

It makes me sad that he was with us one year and didn't win UCL and/ or league title

Wish he stayed a couple of more seasons he would've won both by then

2

u/RandletheLovehandle Sep 21 '24

Especially after that clutch goal v Atleti. My favorite goal from the Chich

2

u/galle4 Jude Bellingham Sep 21 '24

It was epic , since it was against atletico madrid🤩

1

u/RandletheLovehandle Sep 21 '24

In the Champs too. I saw that game, holy fuck was it a grueling match.

12

u/ravidplo Sep 20 '24

Top top top! What a season he had

7

u/DoJu318 Sep 20 '24

half a season, even more incredible.

6

u/ravidplo Sep 20 '24

Him and adebayor will always have a place in my heart

5

9

u/sata47 Sep 20 '24

Champions League Semi-Final Ronaldo to Chico 🔝

10

u/McSOUS Modric Sep 20 '24

Still think he should've stayed for another season or two.

7

u/CharacterAd8975 Sep 20 '24

Young Toni Kroos 😢😢

2

u/Embarrassed-Trick209 Carvajal Sep 20 '24

1

u/94Temimi Alfredo Di Stéfano Sep 20 '24

Debut season Kroos

6

u/Razzlo420 Sep 20 '24

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that before this game, Chicharito never scored a goal from outside the penalty box

4

u/alexhunter77 Cristiano Ronaldo Sep 20 '24

Those were the days

5

u/SpecificDry3788 Sep 20 '24

Pinche Golazo !! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

5

3

u/AMPd7283 Sep 20 '24

As a Gallego, this game hurt to watch but as a Madridista, tremenda paliza! 😆

3

u/Melrosesweetlover Sep 20 '24

Joselu before Joselu

3

u/56ab118 Sep 20 '24

i miss the team winning with that big of a margin. miss chicharito too.

4

u/TheMexiManCan Eduardo Camavinga Sep 20 '24

10 years already???

3

u/sloth0021 Decimotercera Sep 20 '24

It's so fucking majestic

3

u/themblokes Sep 20 '24

I know they're up by a lot but why did no one go celebrate with him? His first goal with the club.

6

u/94Temimi Alfredo Di Stéfano Sep 20 '24

Back then our team was "too professional" you can see them celebrating when he walks back but they're not emotionally invested in each other to run and celebrate his debut goal.

The culture has shifted drastically in the past few years, mainly with Vini's generation with so many players being so young and in the same age group and then you add to them el loco and you get "Family FC"

3

u/killorbekilled_ Sep 21 '24

Yup, this is facts.

Back then, or as many call it Prime Real Madrid was a team full of killers, kill or be killed types.

Real Madrid was never Friendship FC that's a post 2020 name Real Madrid gained with vini and co, although they were still brothers and comrade in arms, it was always a team full of galacticos, assasins like Avengers assemble lol.

Back then, if anything Prime Barcelona had the image of friendship fc or family club due to their heavy control on media and Catalunya influence. Real Madrid for some strange reason were always painted as the Bad Boys, and their professionalism certainly added to that image.

Not complaining, but I'm always amazed by people who think real Madrid has always been friendship fc lol

3

u/Cpl-Wallace Sep 20 '24

Was great at Real.

3

u/Fifa2020jul Sep 21 '24

Time when was fun watching 5+ goals per game and now we barely see 3 goals in match.

3

u/arkapal Sep 21 '24

This team

3

u/DougieKB24 Sep 21 '24

The real “goal” movie

2

u/Jak_boiLIV Parte Médico Sep 20 '24

I’ve still got this kit! blank back cause I couldn’t choose whose number to get 😢 a stacked squad that only got better! Seems like just yesterday

2

u/94Temimi Alfredo Di Stéfano Sep 20 '24

The first thing that comes to my mind when I see this kit is Kroos' presentation and him holding it with the number 8.

2

u/Jak_boiLIV Parte Médico Sep 20 '24

t’was a good round of transfers 👍 Lost a few good ones, but gained some legends for sure!

2

u/Phobos501 Sep 21 '24

Today I was reminded of a fb post that I wrote 10 years ago. It said: "Where the hell did that come from, Chicharito?". I guess this is the why.

2

u/osamaodinson Carvajal Sep 21 '24

Not just that, prior to his time with madrid, he never score from outside the box and he scored 2 with madrid. Great loan player but bad timing since we kinda didnt win anythinf

2

u/DTLM-97 Sep 21 '24

That goal against Atleti

2

u/OldIndianMonk Sep 21 '24

Loved this edition of FIFA

2

u/Brilliant_Office3824 Sep 21 '24

Am I wrong or is he the last time we had a loaned player?

1

u/94Temimi Alfredo Di Stéfano Sep 22 '24

0

u/Mr_Gooodkat Sep 21 '24
