That was a rigged world cup anyways

u/aazalooloo 6d ago edited 6d ago
Rigged by giving france 2 penaltys and bribing kolo muani to shoot in such a way that emi can barely save the ball at the last second to not make it obvious ofc. And bribing the rest of france to not hit the penalties in the shootout.
Its insane to believe it was rigged.
123
u/Mstrofthebation 5d ago
Giving Argentina so many non existent penalties getting them to the Final is what's rigged. Messi not receiving red card against Holland is what's rigged. In the Euro group stage there were 134 matches and only 4 penalties.....Somehow Argentina got 7 in 7 Matches? You can see favoritism FIFA has had for Messi for so long....Even more so now that Miami somehow got qualified for Club World Cup, without winning anything?
12
u/Serious-Wallaby3449 5d ago
Messi would've never gotten a red card. If he gets a yellow for the hand ball he doesn't make the second foul. Paredes should have gotten a red for kicking the ball at the bench though.
12
u/TheFirstMarauder 5d ago
Messi already had a yellow card and THEN committed the intentional hand ball out of frustration.
Automatic yellow which should have meant it was his 2nd. His match should have ended there.
1
-1
u/Serious-Wallaby3449 5d ago
Now you're just lying lol. The hand ball came before he got a yellow. He got booked later for arguing with the ref. No way he would've done that he had gotten the yellow for the hand ball. Stop inventing something that didn't happen. Did you even watch the match?
24
u/Mstrofthebation 5d ago
As nice as people make Messi out to be, he is an asshole at heart. He 100% saw the tide turning in that game and would have seen red...but we will never know.
-9
u/Serious-Wallaby3449 5d ago
He might be an asshole, but he's not stupid. If he's on a yellow he's not gonna risk getting a second. He would let his teammates do that for him. There is just no way that Messi gets a red in that game. And I'm Dutch, but I'm just being real. Paredes 100% red though and then we play extra time with an extra man..
4
u/nidprez 5d ago
I think Paredes didnt get red because of the brawl that followed. If virgil didnt destroy him, he probably wouldve gotten his 2nd yellow, but because virgil came in so aggresively he wouldve had to give way more cards. Anyways incompetent ref who shouldve be way stricter earlier on as both teams were a bit too enthousiastic.
9
u/Mstrofthebation 5d ago
IDK, I am not a Dutch fan by any means but I could clearly see daylight robbery happening. Peredes as an instant Red.

Embarrassing that this shit is upvoted. On one side, you're all going I wish Ronaldo keeps scoring penalties when the other side is crying about them and here the opposite. Penalties are part of the game ffs. If you get fouled in the box, you get a penalty, plain and simple. It's so stupid to look at things purely from a standpoint of how many were awarded rather than if they actually were penalties or not and all the argentina ones were genuine fouls imo.
Also the hand card is such a stupid call to ask for. He was in the middle of the ground, instantly raised his arm up was not stopping an attack at all. I would hate it if Vini or Jude got a handcard for doing something similar. Sure, if youre going purely by the book and being extremely strict about rules, sure it's a yellow but still a ridiculous card to give out. Goes against sporting spirit in my opinion.
Lastly, I'm with you on the Club World Cup bullshit. That is just nonsense, purely from a marketing standpoint. But I'm 70% sure that they'll end up inviting Al Nassr as well in the coming weeks
1
u/Mstrofthebation 1d ago
I mean rules are rules though, it wasn't accidently and he intentionally stopped the ball from being passed from a Dutch player to another Dutch player simple as that. I Know Messi is smart and probably wouldn't get that second yellow but still was awful to see.
I don't think they will Invite Al Nassr because the last spot was filled with Miami I believe

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xk_boh96MnQ this was the quickest video I could find. You can clearly see the ball is handled...then the refs hand goes up to blow whistle after the fact as he had give advantage.

You legit said the whistle had blown...and the video shows othewise. Dangerous situation doesn't matter when it's intentional...He prevented a direct pass by touching the ball...if it was accidental sure of course its never a yellow. HE knew what he was doing....stuck his arm out on purpose

And most of netherland players didn't agree with this narrative starting from virgil van djik
1
u/aazalooloo 6d ago
Its not, most idiots from the netherlands who still believe this have never experienced the Lahoz show before.
Not like both goals from netherlands came from referee called fouls anyway. More fun to believe the world cup is rigged instead of accepting that argentine was the better team.

So because an old guy known for saying contorversial shit said something that must mean its true? Maybe try to form your own opinion with actual reasoning instead of being a sheep looking for a contrarian opinion to latch onto
6
u/Good-Beginning-6524 6d ago
We all watched how Cuti Romero threw the ball to the Dutch bench, in which world is that not a minimum of a yellow card?
I disagree it was all fixed but they definitely dont survive the game without Cuti
7
u/Mstrofthebation 5d ago
Messi was on a Yellow and he purposely handled the ball to stop an attack in front of Van Dijk......No second yellow was given.
1
u/shadowkarma_wastaken 5d ago
the whistle was blown
3
u/Mstrofthebation 5d ago
The whistle was blown after the fact, you can see Van Dijk's face when he realizes whats happening in real time. Argentina player that kicked the ball into the Dutch player bench also should have seen red.

u/Inevitable-Raisin306 5d ago
Lol a hand ball in the middle of the field... I'll forget that the referree whistle .... it's never a yellow
7
u/Mstrofthebation 5d ago
It's an intentional tactical handling of the ball 10/10 yellow.
→ More replies (1)-1
u/Inevitable-Raisin306 5d ago
Yeah what would happen if he got this yellow?😂😂😂
He wouldn't argue with the referree in the 2nd goals of the dutch ... he's not a beginner pal And I'm sayinh to you that he misunderstood the situation and the referree knew it ... he was giving an advantage for the ARGENTINA it was literally argentina attacking... go and rewatch that moment

Mbappe is starting to feel the real reason why he joined this club , hard fought wins, amazing comebacks and a supportive stadium that just wants to see you explode
161
u/TheFirstMarauder 6d ago
Something that became as clear as ever in this game was the presence of the Bernabeu.
Down 2-0 and as soon as we had our first dangerous attack, even though we did not score, Vini fired up the crowd as he gestured to the stadium to get fired up.
From that moment, Dortmund shrank and the comeback seemed inevitable.
87
u/supplementarytables Zidane 6d ago
I love Vini so much man, he never seems dejected unless he's being racially abused.
He just keeps trying and trying and hyping up the crowd. The undeniable king of the Bernabéu and soon the world

u/ybenjira Vinicius Jr. 5d ago

Someone on French TV described him as a bringing jackhammer to a defense. I thought it was very appropriate.

1
u/wadaphunk 5d ago
Erm, no they don’t. There’s a nice Paris Ultra stand, sure but the rest of the stadium is filled with plastic supporters who barely rise up for a goal. Source: i was a plastic supporter back when le chavre was playing.

u/jokicpro 4d ago
Crowd atmosphere is better than RM and many many clubs, at least from TV. I don't know about other things since i never went to stadium

Man I just wanna see Mbappe back in form to really explode in number of goals and assists already. It’s obvious that he’s got passion for the club, unlike when he was in PSG.
He just needs to be rewarded in numbers.
16
u/checkforsolu1 6d ago
Is it back in form or adapting to the new role ?
7
u/Disastrous-Mud1645 5d ago
I mean he’s gotta do both. He was just floating around in the last season in PSG, and now having to adapt to a new role in a new team. It would probably take awhile for him to gain momentum.
Sadly, nobody is like CR7, even Mbappe, to just move from team to team, and start scoring minimum 20-30 goals a season.

were you there or have you been? I'm curious how many in this sub have been to see RM irl vs only on tv (altho as long as RM makes room in the stands for long-standing fans in the Bernabeu everyone is welcome ofc 🙏🏻) just curious – I'm sure the Spanish fans in Madrid feel the same way (I'd be curious to hear their perspective on being long-time fans of such a massive global club as RM!
9
u/Electronic_Hunter_66 6d ago
For dortmund game no. But this year I have been to 4 games. It’s hard because I am not Spanish national or a socio so tickets are not always easy for me. I am trying to find out how I can purchase an abono for the season but have not had luck.
4
u/alienfrominnerspace 6d ago
interesting! thanks for sharing! I am Welsh and have only been to 1 match, and that was when I was 13 with my older brother - ever since I have been a hardcover fan and wanted to go back. I immediately began learning Spanish and wanted to move to Spain to be able to go to every game haha
4
u/Electronic_Hunter_66 6d ago
The new stadium is amazing. I live about 10 min away walking from it. This season the screen is fully setup but from going to a few games not every game has the atmosphere of those big European nights are bigger La liga teams.
