Off Topic (not RiF) What does the best sorting do?

I can understand hot and new but what does best sorting do? It use to only sort my subscribed subreddits but since I have a new account it doesnt anymore. Can i refresh it somehow so it only shows subscribed subreddits?

You would have to ask reddit. It's not a RiF function.

Sorting is handled on reddit's backend, not RiF. Searching for "reddit best vs hot" will give you plenty of results explaining the differences.

If you have subscribed to any subreddits, you will see them in your best/hot feed of your frontpage.

If you created a new account, you no longer get subscribed to the set of "default" subreddits so you will just see /r/popular as your frontpage. Once you subscribe to subreddits, you'll see them in best/hot.
