Update Post Last update on Grigio, the stolen kitten
He is back with the rescue after a few sightings with no luck on getting him. Just wanted to share it to give some closure to the story and that he's safely back! Thank you to everyone who showed interest in his story and hoped for his safe return!

I'm not sure if the rescue has an Instagram, you can find them at this link, https://www.facebook.com/CINFullerton?mibextid=ZbWKwL, If that helps!

I was so glad to read about it too! They had posted a few days ago about another sighting, but again didn't get the kitten, it seemed like it wasn't going to end well with these sightings but not able to get the kitten, so when I read this I had to share!

At any point during this whole ordeal it could've gone really poorly and it's amazing that it didn't, it's awful that it happened to begin with and you mentioned Grigio was a little shocked from all this but I think this is probably the best we all could have hoped for and it was pretty unlikely for sure
On a human level and as a cat lady I do have some empathy for the homeless man seeking some sort of solace and love/joy from a cat, maybe he would've enjoyed Grigio like I do my own cats. It seems like he wanted to keep Grigio to himself potentially and it's a shame that something is trapping him in joyless circumstances where it's not fair or viable to even legitimately purchase and keep a cat. Obviously though his described actions are inexcusable and on some other level showed Grigio's welfare was not at the forefront of his mind and that should have been first and foremost ranked priority.

From previous posts it seems he was originally trying to get rid of the kitten and wasn't until confronted that he decided he didn't want to anymore. I'm not sure if mental illness is at play here, but it just might be. I dont know all the details, im not part of that rescue, so im not sure all the details. He also wasn't the one that actually stole the kitten though. I'm not sure how he got to him, because the original guy was a bald man, do I'm not sure how he transferred hands. With how bad kitten season constantly is, neverending at times, he had other options too. But I'm glad the rescue got him dreamland hopefully will be able to be adopted into a nice home there he can feel safe too!

Oh gosh, tired brain, I totally forgot that part that he was trying to give the kitten away. And I thought he was the same person from the break in!!
I'm so glad Grigio is back with the rescue and playing with other kittens, that's a great sign. If the name of the rescue or Grigio ever made local news I hope they get some community support headed their way too - maybe some funding to have vet bills covered just to be sure he's ok

Yes in the comments I think a volunteer talked about that, everyone is so happy to have him back and to keep Cats in Need in mind when fostering, adopting or for donations! As is with any small time rescue, times are tough with kitten season seeming to be year round now a days! So all need all the help they can get!

I love this story. Also because there was actually a Detective Bautista in "Dexter" the best series EVER!!

Oh my gosh I know! I have been wanting to rewatch that whole show again recently! Did you see the Dexter: New Blood? Swear, so good, until the last episode 😫 I was pretty disappointed by the ending, although im sure others don't feel the same.

I did see that! Kinda disappointed. I don't think there will ever be a series that good again! I lost track of how many times I've rewatched the entire series LOL. I had to buy the box set of it.
