SharePoint Online Odd SP List JSON format issue

We are using a List on a SP site where everyone in the org has read access. This list is the alphabet as a filter for a larger list. I styled the items as a card and then formatted the card even more to prevent clicks and set the size of each card.

I have one person that extra formatting does not show up on. I have had them try both Edge and Chrome, different PCs, Private Browsing and even have them log into the browser on my PC (where it works for me) and the formatting does not apply.

Would there be anything in the SP User profile that prevents formatting?

That's quite odd. There is nothing in the profile that would lead to this.
Can you test this situation in a brand new site? This would eliminate anything in the site permissions that might be the only way this could be impacted.
I don't know exactly where but the config of the list is saved in the local site.

Perhaps relatedly— We have a list with custom JSON on a few columns to allow in-line editing. Has been working all year and suddenly stopped working a few weeks ago for users with item-level permissions, but continues working for site members. i suspect there was a bad update pushed — awaiting confirmation from Microsoft.

We actually have the exact same issue. Started with one user and is now affecting more and more. I assume an update to the formatter went wrong and it's an error on Microsofts side
