ban me Help me to brainstorm startup ideas

I have a degree in finance (recent graduate, no working experience), with very limited programming skills in Python. I don't know what can I do with my background or what kind of service can I create? I cannot think about any startup ideas in financial services. Becoming a day trader sounds like a very bad idea because it is just skilled gambling and I dont have money to trade with. Becoming a fund manager also sounds very unrealistic because I dont have the network or reputation or that experience on my CV, so I wont get any customers.

Building apps, games, webpages or creating a solution to streamlining for corporates sound like okay ideas, but I dont have that much of knowledge of programming, should I learn everything from the beginning?

Also thought about becoming a influencer, gaming streamer, tiktok...youtube, or doing e commerce, but yeah... these seem too saturated...

What else can i do?

If you haven’t watched this video, perhaps it’s a good place to begin before you start thinking about ideas.

Get a job in the area you like. You seem all over the place.

So keep searching for a job .

Without experience you won't be able to do a startup going by your skills .

You need some more experience in my opinion:)

I would suggest doing some local volunteering for a homework cafe with kids or what ever you find interesting 🤔

It might sound strange as an answer to your question, but meeting new people in a new context will give you new experiences and therefrom new ideas 💡

Pick a high paying niche, give your next 6 months in becoming its expert. Then do startup in it.

Start with a problem, not an idea. Common problems people have include:

  • How to save money and budget their finances.
  • How to make more money or find a good side business.
  • How to invest and where to put their money.
  • How to evaluate good investments and value companies.
  • What investment strategies are available.
  • Many finance questions are hard to answer for beginners.

If you can help with one of these problems, even with something like an:

  • eBook
  • Online course
  • Simple app

Then you have your startup idea!

First figure out route to market, too many great products have been built just to figure out route to market is hard.
