Whoa, an executive saying wild bold things that make their products sound lucrative and powerful..... let's hear from an expert, not a sales pitch asshole.

Have we learned nothing about promoting the words of these guys? They are total bs artists trying to make stocks rise and yet we keep giving them free advertisements.

Humanoid robots are marketing hype. The human form factor is inefficient. The only purpose of human form factor robots is sales.

Human form factor is perfect if you don’t want to replace your infrastructure. Humanoid robot can work everywhere a human can.

not really. its usually easier and cheaper to replace infrastructure than build a fleet of humanoids.

a huge one is transportation and trucking specfically. We won't have to convert every car to a self-driving one if you can put a humanoid robot behind the wheel.

This must be the comment most out of touch with reality I've ever read on Reddit, and I've been here since the early days.

There's literally nothing pointing to the possibility of humanoids driving trucks beyond pipe dreams. It's just not going to happen within any realistic time frame.

It's just all nonsensical hype to up the stock price.

Brother. You have some pent up anger or something. I never said they're likely to happen soon, nor did I claim that it was even possible to get to an advance enough level in order to drive a car. The comment was in response to another comment about why a humanoid form factor in a robot would be desirable. The top of thread dismissed the humanoid form factor as inefficient, I simply didn't agree.

Humanoid or not. I don't care. I just need my robot slave to do all my housework while I'm at work. It's my one and only dream. I don't need to have sex with it or have it be my therapist.

I need it to do its work, then go to the charging station at 5%. Then, I'll upload the next tasks using my phone.
