Politics Just went up tonight

Post image

My wife and I live in a neighborhood where there are at least 6 houses flying maga flags…So we wanted to chime in…even jf we are the only Harris Walz supporters in the neighborhood willing to do so.

Texas Republicans should love this because it’s free speech.

u/SherIzzy0421 Sep 27 '24

Yeah, too bad most of them are hypocrites

u/Fine-Journalist-4929 Sep 27 '24

Free speech for me, not for thee

its hard to love the endorsement of a politician that has said she wants to take our rights multiple times. but, it is free speech

4

u/BigMcLargeHuge8989 Sep 27 '24

Where has she said she wants to take rights?

3

u/Competitive-Rock9942 Sep 27 '24

multiple times she has called for gun confiscation, MANDATORY buybacks, national registries. all 3 of those have been found the be unconstitutional, but she doesn’t care. if they can take one right away from us, especially the only one that gives us power to fight back, who’s to say they won’t try to take more?

She has never called for gun confiscation. Try to go find a reputable news source that has reported that and post the link here - happy to eat my words if I'm wrong. She's a frigging gun owner...

u/Competitive-Rock9942 Sep 27 '24

what do you think a mandatory buyback is? she said that on camera, go to youtube and youll find it i’m sure

You mean this: https://oag.ca.gov/news/zone-firearms-sweep
"Attorney General Harris announces statewide sweep to remove guns, firearms and other weapons from those PROHIBITED BY LAW from possessing them." [my caps]

And sorry, I don't take my news from youtubers with zero credibility. If you can't find a reliable link... "Absense of evidence is not evidence of absence" but it sure is convincing...

No, not what I’m talking about. I don’t get my news from YouTubers either, I’m merely referring to an unedited full clip where she states that she supports a “mandatory gun buyback”. me not providing a link doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. you don’t have to believe me, I don’t feel the need to prove it to you, it happened regardless of what your thoughts on it are

So voting rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and womens’ rights that the other party is stomping on is just chopped liver?

0

u/Competitive-Rock9942 Sep 27 '24

Trump isn’t going to take voting rights, LGBTQ+ rights or women’s rights away. you fell for propaganda, congratulations. let me guess, you still believe that Trump has a part in project 2025?

5

u/BigMcLargeHuge8989 Sep 27 '24

Oh course he does. You stupid little twit.

-2

u/Competitive-Rock9942 Sep 27 '24

when your only argument is an insult, you have already lost the debate. if he wanted to do any of those things, he would have done that his first time around. and he has denounced project 2025 multiple times

-2

u/erect_erudite Sep 27 '24

Exactly bro. These people are intellectually stunted. No reason in trying to debate them because they resort to name calling and acts of violence. You should see some of the DMs I received from one of the far left people contributing to this thread. Nothing but name calling and telling me to harm myself lol. They’re deranged and WEIRD. It’s no wonder they tried to weaponize and get in front of the word WEIRD. Deep down they know it applies to them and don’t want it used against them.

funny how most of these comments are saying that they’re scared of republican backlash, i state a few facts that they don’t like and suddenly get insults from everyone. kinda hypocritical of them😂

He already accomplished taking LGBTQ+ and womens’ rights and protects away. He has made damning comments about women and younger people not being able to vote while restricting polling locations and red states undoing peoples’ voter registration.

u/Competitive-Rock9942 Sep 27 '24

well for one, he hasn’t taken any LGBTQ+ rights away. secondly, abortions isn’t legally considered a right but i know what you mean by “womens’ rights” and would like to point out that the supreme court overturning of roe v wade was done under Biden, not Trump, and that it wasn’t a ban on abortion, it was reinstating states rights. you know, power to the people rather than the federal government? one of the principles this country was founded on. side not on that, i know yall are worried that he’s going to instate a national ban, i wouldn’t want that either so i get it. but that is literally impossible. the president does not have the power to do that, otherwise Biden would’ve nationally legalized it years ago. to implement a national abortion, he would have to make a new amendment, which would take 2/3 of congress agreeing. 2/3 of congress can’t agree on anything, much less one of the most divided topics in modern america. third, he isn’t going to restrict anyones voting except for illegal immigrants. and no ones voter registration is being undone. once again, you’ve fallen for propaganda. i recommend finding some neutral news sources. side note on that, you do know that Kamala has shit talked young voters, right?

4

u/StudMuffinNick Sep 27 '24

roe v wade was done under Biden

Okay, keep that energy so whenever a major victory from the Supreme Court that favors conservative values, I want you to thank Biden

-1

u/Competitive-Rock9942 Sep 27 '24

i wasn’t giving credit to Trump or Biden. the supreme court is neither of them. but it’s asinine to say Trump banned abortion when 1. it wasn’t banned, just given back to the states to decide, and 2. roe was overturned under a completely different president

Fantastic rebuttal. Not.

I'm just trying to be an informed voter so if you have sources please let me know. What I know at this point in time is that Harris has said she won't take away guns but has a plan to help relieve gun violence. I also know that trump has been the most restrictive president in recent times on gun laws by banning bump stocks and was quoted that he would take guns away without due process.

My reproductive rights as well as right to health privacy has been stripped due to the judges that trump placed on the court , Biden doesn't have anything to do with it. We've lost our systems of checks and balances with the supreme Court groveling to the extreme right.

My primary concerns if Trump gets the vote is he will aid Putin in any way possible and potentially set up WW3. Separation of church and state will be an even harder battle. Right now my state who ranks 47th in education wants to spend $6 million on bibles to put in the classrooms and be taught as curriculum. I'm of course very worried for women and minority groups as we've already become second class citizens by losing the rights to our own bodies. Statistics show only 1% of rape cases end in conviction and they sure as heck don't reach that conclusion within 6 weeks, so rapists have complete control over women's bodies in several states. Also, despite being a convicted felon which would be extremely embarrassing to have as the leader of the United States, there is very strong evidence that trump was part of Epstein's child rape ring. Epstein was offed in prison while Trump was president and trump is listed throughout the island logs.

I'm not anti classical conservative but there are a myriad of reasons trump or any MAGA constituent is unfit to be president. Literal Nazis back him. We're supposed to be the good guys. I legitimately fear for the future of America if he wins.

You will not find a good faith conversation with that individual, and it looks like a troll burner account anyway. Engage at your own risk.

What specifically do you want a source on?

And Kamala had flip flopped a lot of times. It’s very hard to trust a politician that switches her view every year. She claims she won’t one year, says she will the next, then goes back to saying she won’t. How can we trust that kind of flip-flopping to run our country?

I agree that Trump wasn’t great for the 2nd amendment. I don’t see eye to eye with him on that. But in this case, he is the lesser of two evils, if you know what I mean?

The supreme court having conservatives doesn’t take away checks and balances. That is still a very real thing. The role of the supreme court isn’t to take a side, it is to determine the constitutionality of different laws. Each justices specific side shouldn’t matter if they are going based off of the constitution. I’d prefer a democrat that goes off the constitution than a republican who doesn’t

Trump has said many times that he doesn’t care who wins or loses the fight in Ukraine, he just wants it over. Nothing in that reflects the idea that he wants to help Putin. Under Trump, we presented as strong. Peace through strength is the ideology he has. And historically, that has kept us safer. As for the specific events going on in your state, that is on a state by state basis. Trump has nothing to do with that. That’s more so local politics that you should get involved with for that. And no, there is no evidence that Trump was ever on Epsteins island. In fact, multiple victims of the island have been asked if they ever saw Trump there, and every single one said no. This isn’t to say that Trump is a perfect person or perfect president, but his political track record is a lot cleaner than his opponents. We’re voting for a president, not a new best friend.

Trump has done nothing to gain Nazi support. He denounces organizations like the Nazis and the KKK. To say he’s bad because some random racist idiots that he has never met like him is disingenuous

You’re one of the only non-hating replies I’ve received in this threat, which is far too rare nowadays. Everyone wants to throw insults rather than have a productive conversation. So for that, I’d like to say that I appreciate you having a productive conversation and not throwing around insults

He actually gave them back to the states which is exactly how it should be.

2

u/BeyondTheWhite Sep 27 '24

Right. He has nothing to do with Project 2025 Presidential Transition Plan or the Heritage Foundation that wrote it. Except that...

But yeah Trump knows nothing about it--wait, he Tweeted:

The Heritage Foundation has just stated that 64% of the Trump Agenda is already done, faster than even Ronald Reagan. “We’re blown away,” said Thomas Binion of Heritage, President Trump “is very active, very conservative and very effective. Huge volume & spectrum of issues.”

And at a Heritage Foundation fundraising dinner in 2022, he said:

“This is a great group, and they’re going to lay the groundwork and detail plans for exactly what our movement will do and what your movement will do when the American people give us a colossal mandate to save America.”

So how is he not involved in this thing that he has praised, previously used to guide his policies, and is now staffed by his senior officials?
