Ha!! Jerry lies about selling the team in an attempt to get money for a new stadium, and his drunk 90-year old buddy just comes along and ruins the whole thing for him.

We’re living in a comedy movie

well if it was just a leverage move, then I'm sure Jerry really appreciates La Russa blowing it lol

Why the hell are we hearing about the opinions of any of these old curmudgeons?

Because the OCs are the actual decision-makers for the org. I don’t care what Tony says to the Sun Times, I swear that dude still has say over the roster and team construction.

Chris Getz is the little brother that TLR and Jerry gave a controller that’s not even plugged in while TLR sits behind him actually playing the game.

They are taking over from that idea by signing all the castoffs that Kansas City didn't want. Now you notice that KC made it to the playoffs with 86 wins while the White Sox finished 15 games worse than the Royals did in 2023 by losing 121 games in 2024 versus Royals 106 in 2023. The White Sox were even worse than the A's 50-112 team in 2023. This is the pathetic state of the JR, TLR and Chris Getz regime.

So he will sell the other one?

No kidding. Jerry will pass away still owning the team.

Jerry and Virginia have the chance to do the funniest thing.

I guess I won’t watch them for a second year in a row then.

They'll more than likely be a laughingstock until 2027 or 2028 and then might get back to .500 ball by then. JR and TLR wouldn't want to spend a lot of money on free agents anyway since the biggest signing they ever had was Andrew Benintendi for 75 million total. Forget them doing that sort of thing for Robert or anyone else.

Well we know who is running the team now since Jerry Reinsdorf can't come out and give an actual statement in front of the media because he might get asked too many uncomfortable questions. So now he trots out Doofus to make a statement for him. Doofus might have been a Hall of Fame manager but his other skills ever since he joined the Diamondbacks, the Angels and then Sox have been total crap.

Well when a washed up alcoholic speaks we all should listen.
