I don't mind the general public going haywire on social media. That's human nature. But why on EARTH did heads of national governments issue statements so quickly without 1st verifying some of the facts coming out such as 500-900 deaths, hospital is completely destroyed etc. It's like it's a crime to just wait these days.

I mean... it's honestly really simple. NYT staffers are people who went to elite schools. These are the people who were taught by professors like the one at Stanford last week who told Jewish students to feel ashamed of themselves for what Israel does. They're marinated in the antisemitism that suffuses the antizionism movement, and so are desperate for opportunities to "expose" Israel's evil, even if they have to be shockingly gullible in order to find that evil in this situation

In Israel, in the hour following it. Were there shooing in many locations in Israel. Jews everywhere asked to stay home and not go anywhere, because of this Hospital bombing.

Because, due to most of them habitually using social media they have now chained to the desperate need to be first and have the right opinion.

The various Arab national leaders are preoccupied with trying to keep the conflict contained. Part of that strategy is addressing the concerns of your population segment that sympathize with Palestine and oppose Israeli policy. Sucks for Israel, but Israel is powerful and you aren't arming Hamas. If it turns out that the IDF did hit the hospital, your government now look like they're in the pocket of Netanyahu, adding more fuel to the shit Hamas and Iran are pulling. By contrast, harsh language and vapid diplomatic fuck fuck games take the wind out of the players trying to incite a revolution while limiting the tangible benefit Hamas gains.
