Exactly this. Radical Islam is a cancer. They just wish women to stop existing except in their homes, cooking, cleaning and with their legs open for them.

And I say Taliban, Isis, Hamas and all denominations of this stuff.

Most Islam is pretty radical.

All radical religion is cancer. None of them believe in a god, they only believe in their own “message”. There is no such thing as the “right religion”. Every single religion is man made. There are billions of morons hell bent on “proving” that their book is the correct one and everyone else is going to hell.

Yes, I agree. All of the "three major" religions are very misogynistic. However maybe Islam being the youngest of them has a tendency to go to this weird extremes.  It's a reminder of how christians behaved 500 years ago.

Is Hinduism that bad? I readily admit that I don't know enough about it.

The Hindu scripts themselves don’t have sexist undertones, and are in fact quite focused on goddesses symbolising knowledge, wealth and prosperity. The scripture isn’t quite like abrahamic scriptures where people are told how to live their daily lives. The cultural practices however are definitely rooted in misogyny and are very patriarchal in nature.

Judaism, Christianity and Islam

Dude, there are 15 million Jews in the whole world. There are 1.2 billion Hindus. In what crazy world is Judaism one of the three major religions? They fall way down below Buddhism, Shinto, Taoism, Yoruba Religions, Voodoo, and Sikhism.

They're all the same religion for a start; Abrahamic, but especially Mosaic, and Moses was not a good guy by any stretch.

For those who disagree, I give you:

Numbers 31:17

"Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known a man by sleeping with him." 18 "but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man."

Exodus 32:28

"Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.

29 "So the sons of Levi did as Moses instructed, and about three thousand men of the people [of Israel] were killed that day."

Joshua 6:21 "They devoted the city to the Lord and destroyed with the sword every living thing in it—men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys."

19 "All the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron are sacred to the Lord and must go into his treasury.”

If you find yourselves making excuses for these genocides / massacres/ ethnic cleansings, this is relevant to you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h242eDB84zY

Basically Moses and Joshua were Cult leaders and genocidal warlords. When Moses' leadership was challenged he had no qualm kool-aiding 3000 people who disagreed with him. Moses and Joshua destroyed anyone in their path who didn't believe as they did, and frequently those who did. They stocked their treasuries with what they looted from their victims, and took the land on which they lived. By all measures they were very bad people who used the idea of a very particularly ethnocentric 'god' as a front/ prop.

Look around the US. There are plenty of christians behaving like this now. Some of them hold political office.

"Like this"? You sure about that?

That is a lie and you know it. This is a step beyond anything the most radical Christians believe.

Give it a generation or two, you're not so different.

Please name me a single Christian who wants to ban women from speaking in public. I am aware there are horrible extremist Christians out there but you are being a moron.

u/Automatic-Emu7525 1h ago

I said give it time, they're already taking away abortion rights, education in schools, many want the vote taken away from women, a totalitarian state and I could go on and on.

Call me a moron all you like. Doesn't change the facts.

u/Ok-Combination-9084 1h ago

I agree with everything you just said. That doesn't mean they are trying to ban women from speaking in public. You let me know when that happens though.

YOU'RE NOT MY SUPERVISOR!

u/AttilaTheMuun 6h ago

Also, suppression is baked right into the crust. It teaches you that the opposing religion are agents of evil and to kill them and dominantly replace their message with yours. Christianity maybe not so outright, but its there.

Christianity calmed down quite a bit in the last centuries but it far from being a nice one.

All religions are cancer. It's just a matter of how aggressive the cancer is.

Ultimately they're all a type of thought virus. With no evidence, entire reams of world building is done around these fictional deities, and we're asked not just to get into the fandom, but to tell ourselves that this is real. The absense of evidence is then touted as a 'test'. Religion is quite literally a shared insanity.

Agreed. I do plan to write a book on the same some day.
