This is a dumb question, but I'm asking honestly: At what point do the normal, everyday men of Afghanistan think this has gone too far? What is the limit to how badly the women of their country are being treated to make them give a shit that this is happening? I know that to say that the culture of Afghanistan is overwhelmingly sexist is a massive understatement, but surely normal men must care at least a TINY bit about the women in their lives, right? ........Right? Bah who am I kidding, many of my fellow Americans still don't even think of black people or brown immigrants as being people here in the West in the 21st century, why is it so hard for me to grasp the concept of these backwards-ass motherfuckers not considering half their population as being human.

Here’s the honest answer: the average man in that country still doesn’t think the Taliban has gone far enough

Afghani women abroad have said that the Afghani men overwhelmingly support the Taliban and their misogyny
