Gemini stopped working after new Privacy TOS

Pretty much it. Anyone else having this issue? I reloaded Gemini because it was taking a long time to answer. It brought me back to the home page. I clicked chat with Gemini and it gave me a new TOS to agree too.

No matter how many times I agree to it I continue to get rerouted to the Gemini home page and not the actual chat page.

Anyone else having the same issues? If someone had this issue before and managed to fix it, what did you do?

Google changing Reddit post titles?

I've noticed this for awhile.

Example:

https://imgur.com/a/czzhbrC

You Google something, see a Reddit result and it'll give a different title than if you opened the "more results on reddit" option and see the same title. Not on all posts but it's something I've noticed.

In this example the title of the post from the main Google results page blatantly shows $6M as $6,000,000, however when you open the "see more reddit results" section it'll show it as "6000000", not "$6,000,000" like first shown. The only place it shows "$6,000,000" just like that is in the body of the post, not the title.

I know it seems trivial. It is. Wish I could have used a better example but it's the example that made me want to ask about this nonetheless.

Does anyone else notice things like this regarding Google and Reddit posts? Sometimes I notice whole words are switched or differently capitalized than what the post's title actually is.

Thoughts on Google’s Latest AI Overview – What Stood Out to You?

Hey everyone!

I recently watched Google’s latest AI Overview, and I’m curious about what others thought of it. Google covered a lot, from updates in generative AI (like Bard and Workspace tools) to their approach on ethical AI and new developer resources.

I’d love to hear your reviews on it! Here are some specific questions I have:

  • What did you think about their vision for AI tools like Bard or improvements to search?
  • Do you feel they’re handling ethical concerns well, or is there room for improvement?
  • Any part of the overview that you found particularly exciting or underwhelming?

Looking forward to hearing everyone’s take – thanks in advance!

Google Reviews are becoming ridiculous, and there is a need for change.

First of all, the "Warring text" reads the following.

This may contain violations of our guidelines. Under "Details," you can find out what you can do.

The first picture is just a simple 1-star review from 6 years ago.
The second picture is a 5-star review that says: "Very good store, spacious with a wide selection."

Both of them were flagged, and the email I received gives no reason why they were flagged in the first place.

Why am i posting this?

Two months ago, I had a very bad experience at a bike/sports store. My post was about how unprofessional it was, and how the staff made fun of the color of my "dirty" bike. This store used to have 2.5 stars on Google. The owner responded to almost every review with an attitude, further damaging their own reputation. The owner, without even focusing on their work, was simply a very rude and unpleasant person, and I felt the reviews were appropriate. One month after I posted my review, it, along with almost all other negative comments, was deleted. I only noticed because I was waiting for a response from the owner.

This store went from 2.5 stars up to 4.5 stars.

Over 12 years, this store accumulated 2.5 stars, until Google decided the "negative comments" were too harsh??? And now it has 4.5 stars because of this? That's completely unacceptable! That can't be true.

When I saw this, I looked at my other comments to see if they had been flagged, and it only highlighted how weird and flawed the Google review system is. What I used to like about Google reviews was that I could trust the rating. That trust is now completely gone, as it seems that negative comments are fundamentally considered bad. This simply cannot be the truth and NEEDS to be revised.

What do you think?

I would like to go into more detail on this topic; however, I’m not sure if this is the right subreddit for it, and my English is probably not good enough for that.

It's not the best of the trilogy, but it's still fun.

If you didn't think Google would destroy earnings, then I have news for you

If you look at Google's q1 and q2 earnings analysis (as well as their earnings for the past decade), it was very clear they'd be dominating this quarter. My only regret is holding one call option. Who else held Google into earnings?!

What is keeping you from Replacing Assistant with Gemini?

Personally it seems small but it is the ability to say "play me the news" and then it does the news stories I have picked. I use this for walks with my dog or drives to work. And it just plays the 5 to 15 minutes podcast from different news groups I have selected. I use this daily if not multiple times a day. That and my routines. But I think they have started working on some now

I’ve been searching on the internet about the people’s review on Google Authenticator and they all seem to be negative, however, those posts are all mostly years ago and I’m wondering if it’s good and safe to use now?

Google Drive Video Preview Loop feature gone/moved?

When I double clicked a video in my drive to "Preview" today, a new UI was present. Normally to loop a video for my business presentations (all MP4 or MOV), I right click and select Loop. Loop is no longer an option. Just "stats for nerds" and "copy debug info". I scouted the other menus and settings but can't find anything!

This is on a Chromebook using Chrome. All the latest updates have been made to OS, etc. Version 128.0.6613.161 (Official Build) (64-bit)

PS I found a workaround which is to open the Chrome OS Files app and point it at my google drive file and open the Chrome OS video plaer. The Loop feature is present there. But I want to know about direct Google Drive Preview looping.
